Gepetto's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Newmarket

I order from here quite often. I have my work crew order there a lot for lunch and they usually have complaints but I ignore them because the foods decent. Tonight I ordered a burger and fries. Not exactly a difficult order. There were about 8 employees there with only the three women out front actually doing anything. They put my fries in the counter and say my burger is cooking. The girl didn’t have enough change in her register so she asked two different guys for change and they simply said no. Just a hard no. So she dealt with it on her own to her credit. I see a cook hand my burger to a tattooed guy whose job is simply to place it on a cutting board then stand around. I single him out because he seemed to be the oldest one there and at an age when most males have long become men with at least an idea of responsibility. A couple minutes later a girl weaves her way through several coworkers who are doing nothing at all to come over and presumably get my food prepared. While I’m waiting a guy comes in to pick up his order. They say hey we forgot to make it but we made an extra small cheese pizza we can give you a discount on. That’s what they told her to say. They didn’t offer just to make his order right away but instead offered a small cheese pizza and he left foodless and unhappy. His expression was priceless though when they offered him something he didn’t even order like a negotiation. I see the tattooed guy (I mentioned he’s tattooed so that if you do go there and see him standing around you can say hey just like in that review) usher another sandwich over to the cutting board. He wasn’t qualified to cook the food or to actually apply tomato and pickles. Maybe he didn’t graduate that class yet. His role was simply the cook hands it to him and he walks it over to the cutting board and leaves it for someone else to prepare and then goes back to talking. I’m not sure if he is just the assistant for those girls but even that would be a job he’s failing at. The line is getting really backed up and Now they ask the girl preparing my food to stop and man a register. That’s right. The same girls that prepare the food are handling the money right in front of everyone. I didn’t even notice until they asked her to. 4-5 guys thought it was reasonable to stand around doing nothing and ask this girl to do more. So this girl handed me my food which was obviously cold. I asked to talk to a manager. She said he isn’t here and he didn’t leave anyone in charge. That figures of course, but you’d think there’d be someone who heard that and say how can I help. These guys couldn’t care less. She explained the situation and the cook and the tattooed guy say his burger just finished as if this didn’t just happen right in front of me. She walked off I think to try to find someone and as upset as I was I decided to leave. This young lady or the two working with her were the only people worthy of talking to at this point and I’m sure the only ones responsible enough to talk to customers and they were clearly put in a position to fail by their boss.They were left working with a really sorry bunch by a really sorry boss. I didn’t want to take it out on these girls who were really good workers put in a ridiculous situation and I certainly didn’t want to upset them. If they weren’t able to work nobody would get any food. so I just left and won’t go back. I’ll also not bring my crew there ever again. I’ll also talk them down whenever I hear them mentioned. I had always heard bad things about the service and the owner in particular but I never had to deal with it until now. If I ever met him I’d tell him one good worker is more valuable than three marginal workers. Lose 3-4 workers (the sandwich usher for instance) and use that money to hire a manager and give those three women a raise for doing their best to work around the ineptitude. Not only have I never left any type of review, I had to create a profile to leave this one. That’s how much I wanted to let you know how truly terrible this...

Management is very rude, ordered chicken Parm subs to be delivered, took over an hour when we were only 10mins away. Food was cold when it was delivered. When we opened the subs there was no sauce or cheese on them. Asked for mushrooms on one and on the wrapper it was marked no mushroom. Asked for peppers and onions on another and there were only a couple of peppers along the bottom of the sub roll. When we called them about the issues, the owner claimed he was very busy and he is the only place open. He claims they ran out of mushrooms and that's why it was written on the sub wrapper. When we asked what he was going to do to fix it, he claimed they were too busy and that he would make new subs but will take 45mins to an hour to be delivered and that we had better tip his driver again so that he would deliver to us again. We then said forget it we want our money back and he refused. He also told us that he would never deliver to us again. We then said we would bring the subs back to him so he could see the screw up. When we got there his whole attitude changed and he did refund us. Worst experience we've had in that area. Will never order from...

Very disappointed with their customer service skills! Except for one young gentleman. He was the only one! I have gone there twice now. First time, 35 min wait. Fine, no biggy. I was more upset over the rudeness from the women there, no apology for my wait, just straight up said "it takes time to cook" with attitude and completely ignoring the fact I was still waiting for my food, both women did this... 2nd time, 50 mins I waited. I watched 5 people come in, order their food, get their food and leave! Not one person in there acknowledge the fact I was waiting, even walking back and forth to try to get a person's attention to ask why it was taking so long. Then a younger gentleman finally seen I was waiting to talk to someone, was super helpful, got my food, apologized for the wait and yes, I was a bit hangry at that point and he said "I hope you have a good night" and I annoyingly replied, "I'll try" and I apologize for that!! But I am done with that place!!!! Change your attitudes! Kindness goes a long way! My sub was made wrong as well. But if you don't mind awful customer service but great food, this place...
