Let's start with the atmosphere dark, loud. The table we sat at there is dirt built up where you pull out for a leaf to expand the table and I don't mean a little dirt I'm talking a 8th of a inch of long time black build up. The has more choices then I cooked in meals in my apartment in years of living there. To many choices with no meals that allows a really big breakfast. Service well even though there nice I ask for water and coffee and my two friend ask for water, we received our water but after drinking still didn't get my coffee. Two people who came in well after us got coffee. When she came up and ask my friend if he needed more water even though I had a empty cup I ask again if I could please get coffee. We got our water but took another 5 mins before I finally got a coffee. Food well my sausage link was either one piece cut into three small thin pieces or skinning links which one was cut in half so either I got one cut into three pieces or I got 1 and a half pieces, home fries where really good, I ask for a extra egg because I like eggs but only got one slice of toast which butter was slap on cold toast since it didn't melt and could tell the toast sat awhile. The sunny side up was ok more running whites then I liked but not bad, bacon ... Not impressed I like it crispy no doubt but not burn. I ask for a side order of hash which I got half way through my breakfast but smelled like bake beans and absolutely tasted like baked beans not corned beef hash..... Maybe that's why they call it the big bean, My blueberry pancakes no this is where I get upset they were pretty good up to quarter of it left the last two bites I took had a really strong taste of garlic yeah garlic I might not eat another blueberry pancake in a long time I had to go home brush my teeth That's how much garlic I could taste. They may be have been good in the past but I wouldn't wasting money or time going down there try to find some other place I'm glad I ate there now I know better than...
Read moreGrowing up locally I have always loved the food here. I took a friend yesterday as he's moving to the area and I wanted to show him the good food spots. First off the server was honestly really obnoxious. The space has only about 5 tables in it for size reference but for some reason she was yelling at us our entire meal. She asked us if we were ready to order and we informed her we were waiting on a third person who was outside on a call. She came over about 1 minute later and asked again, I repeated that we are waiting on a third person who should be in any minute. Around 2 minutes later she did it again! Luckily our third showed up right after that. When we ordered she was extremely impatient and not even slightly interested in pleasantries. The food comes and I'm just trying to eat and get out of there at this point when one of the people Im dining with bites into a large piece of eggshell. I told him I was going to say something but he insisted I let it go until he bit into 2 more eggshells. We got the servers attention and told her/showed her what we found in the food and she laughed while casually letting out a sorry followed by asking if he was going to finish it or if she should take it away. Who in the world would want to finish it? She left and eventually the manager says, in passing, "hey sorry about that issue man" and keeps walking by. The kicker? The eggshell filled meal was still on the bill. Mistakes happen and if they had turned around and given a legit apology and taken it off the bill this poor review wouldn't even be happening. How you recover/ treat your customers...
Read moreSadly, they have a no service dogs allowed approach and it was not a pleasant experience dealing with their non ADA compliance. They lost my business due to their lack of knowledge of the law and my rights as an owner of a service animal. I attempted to educate them, perhaps it's changed and if they respond they can state clearly their policy. They chose instead to try and reeducate me and their not correct in what their policy is, not my opinion, this is an ADA fact. As a business owner you can ask two questions: Is your dog a service animal? Has it been trained for a specific task? If you answer those yes you are, by law allowed to be there. Both of those I have met with my dog and it's sad that they ask for things that are not legal or required. Ignorance or arrogance, perhaps a touch of both. Chances are that they will respond in a defensive posture, but believe me I only wanted a seat with my dog for a coffee on a cold, rainy day and was sadly....denied. They've always had amazing food, but bad attitude and policy will prevent me from going there again until I can come with my service animal.
As you can see from their defensive response, they are not being honest. I would never treat anyone with disrespect and certainly did not that day. I was very respectful to all, your lying…why? Your employee knows the truth. It’s good to see your policy updated, thank you for that, I’m all set with...
