Panzanellas Italian Pizzeria & Bar — Restaurant in Newmarket

My son ordered 2 medium pizzas and mozz stix. He told me it was $41!!!. I couldn't afford that so I called back 3 minutes later to change the order to 1 pizza and mozz stix. I spoke to Meghan and she said the pizzas were already in the oven and so were the stix. She said she couldn't do anything about it. I thought about just not showing up but decided that wasn't very nice to do. So I went to pick up the pizzas and asked how long it takes to cook a pizza. Kathryn stated 10 minutes. So I asked if my pizza had been sitting for 20 minutes because they told me a half hour when we called originally. I didn't really get an answer so I was even more upset. Meghan said I could speak to a manager. I waited about 5 minutes for Jamie to come out. We went over the entire situation and Jamie took $13 off the total. I was satisfied with this agreement.

We are loving the new items on the menu - pasta without glyphosate - yay!! Tonight, I ordered the Italian hoagie and a steak and cheese. Both were good, typical hoagies ... no complaints on the food. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. I also like the new sandwich boxes rather than a wrapped up hoagie, keeps it from getting soggy. The only issue I have is that they use staples to keep the bags closed. I get it, I know, it holds it closed, secures the food right in there. Many places do this. But years ago (previous Panz owner timeframe) our bags were all stapled, and unbeknownst to us, one staple flew into my husband's food and wound up in his mouth before he realized. Now, I tear the bag around the staples to avoid that situation because I'm paranoid. I always order take out or delivery so I can't speak on the atmosphere, but it always looks clean and busy when I pick up and delivery is...

Pizza is amazing, fried dough bites are to die for, and the mac & cheese is a lactose intolerant's delicious nightmare. This is very much a locals place and has those kind of vibes. Food is good and consistent. I only have 1 problem here which others may not care about, but their burgers aren't just burgers. They are beef like you'd expect but they use a secret blend of spices and sauces mixed into the patty and do not list of state that anywhere on the menu. I had the big surprise when I tried one and thank goodness I wasn't allergic because never in my mind did I imagine it would contain the flavors it does. I know some people really enjoy their blend but it scares me they don't say that there is stuff in it or what's in it until you ask.
