My wife and I had a date night and our kids wanted us to bring them McDonald's home. We stopped by and the drive through line had about eight cars in it, so we decided to go in. As soon as we walked in there was a guy holding up two McCafe drinks yelling asking who ordered them. No one responded. Another employee laughed at him and said no one ordered those. Then another employee took them and asked who ordered them. Again, no response. Then they started yelling out the order number for those drinks. Eventually, the first guy that was yelling for who ordered them said he was leaving and took them home with him. My wife placed the order for a 20 piece nuggets and a McFlurry. The McFlurry was made immediately and sat on the counter. Another customer (smelled and acted drunk) walked in and saw the large amount (about 8 people) already waiting for their orders and asked if he could get some service. It was at this point that the manager walked by behind the counter talking on her cell phone. The drunk asked her who she was on the phone with that was so important and that he wanted some service. She looked at him and walked outside. The drunk was finally helped. Meanwhile, one girl behind the counter was calling order numbers (still including the one for the 2 mystery McCafe drinks). The order numbers were called wildly out of order. 248, 252, 258, 249. We were 262. All of this madness kept going for another 15 minutes. The girl calling the orders finally called 262. We went up to get the order. My wife told he that she wanted her money back for the McFlurry since it had been sitting on the counter since we ordered. The girl then said, "I called your number a long time ago". I called her on her lie and she said, "I did call your number!" I told her that I was listening to her the whole time and she never called our number. The drunk then spoke up and said, "Just make them another one, the customer is always right!" At this time the manager walked back in without saying anything and the drunk said to her, "You need to talk to your man when you get home, you should be working right now." The manager turned around and said that was her business and he needed to mind his own business.
So, to break it down, we spent 20 minutes watching an absolute circus for 20 nuggets and a shake. This is one of the reasons I stopped eating McDonald's about...
Read moreThis is just a few of my experiences:
Took 1hr 23mins to get from ordering the food at the drive-thru window to having our food handed to us. This isn't a fluke. It's like this every night.
McDonalds, you obviously have the demand, now higher more competent night time workers who actually show up and work.
In the meantime, if you are wanting food or anything similar to McDonalds. Don't go here. Save yourself the time and go to Burger King down the street. They are open till midnight and should satisfy your midnight munchies.
Update: Apparently none of the workers or management understand the concept or meaning of open 24 hours. They always seem to be closed for "maintenance" until 6 a.m.
Update 01/13/2018: Tried it again today... Not sure why I expected different. Went around 3:30PM. Over cooked chicken fingers and 30 minutes to get my food.
Update 01/14/2018: Closed for maintenance... Again. 11:30 PM
Update 05/09/2018 10:30AM: I had hoped the morning crew was going to be different... Ordered a Large Turtle McCafe, it was incorrectly made. When I pointed out the lack of espresso, they threw a fit and eventually made the drink again. Except it was wrong again, small and no flavoring, I let it go since it at least had espresso in it this time. They sent me on my way, even though I hadn't gotten all of my order yet. So they opened the window and asked "What?", I told them I still needed my biscuits and the second Large McCafe drink (Caramel Frappe). Which I received in small form, not large. So... I got less than what I paid for, and was made to be the "enemy" in this situation. I just want my order.
Update 05/18/2018 1:17AM: CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE
Update 04/18/2019 9:58AM The crew this morning was great! Order was taken thoroughly and accurately. The order was made quickly and accurately!! Congrats morning crew. You've started to change my opinion of this location. Machines seemed to be working, etc. ⭐⭐⭐'s...
Read moreThey got my order wrong in drive-thru so I went inside to get it fixed. The front counter is completely ignored and the way the front is structured allows the employees to stay out of sight of the customers so its hard to get their attention. I was finally able to get someone's attention to tell them what I needed. He took my receipt and sandwich. I waited for 15 minutes for the correct sandwhich. Several other customers were also waiting for their food. I asked the manager if I could have my sandwich and he just stated that they are short staffed and it isn't even his store. I ended up leaving without the sandwich, so McDs owes me $4.39.
And of course, the rest of the food was inedible by the time I finally got back to it. So $16 down the drain. It wasn't until I got home that I learned the Diet Coke I ordered was actually regular Coke. 😒
I understand that places are short staffed but we should have some communication about how long things will take before we order. One woman ordered her food on her phone then drove 10 minutes to the store. Then waited for at least 15 minutes inside before getting her food. I left before she got it so I don't know how long it actually took.
When you've already paid for something you have no choice but to keep waiting or lose your money.
I suggest that they close their dining room when they are so short staffed. That way the customer can see the drive-thru line and decide for themselves whether they are willing to wait in the...
