Subway — Restaurant in Newport Beach

I used to go to Subways all the time and I remember it being pretty good. I walked in and there was a family getting several sandwiches and i wasn't addressed for at least 5 minutes and then had to wait even longer to be served. Anyway,, I was so disappointed with my footlong sandwich. I got the hot pastrami. It sounded and looked so good in the picture. The meat was super stringy and grisly and the sandwich was super soggy. I didn't get any oil or anything on it and I had it toasted. So I was a little confused why it was so soggy. I basically ended up putting the soggy bread into my airfryer to get crispy and ate the bread and picked out the olives from the sandwich and threw out the rest. I wish I took a pic. A good sandwich, which is really all that's required! I got the egg and flatbread breakfast. Most Subways give me a hard time cause I like the eggs heated first, otherwise it's a cold egg sandwich. Same here. It makes them upset because they have to wait ~90 seconds or so. At least, that's the feeling I typically get. I usually try to banter and ask how their day is going, but at this place, that was clearly not welcomed.

The place was dirty, which would have been a good thing to clean up the night before, as I was there only a little after opening.

The manager was absolute perfection she was a delight I had some of the best customers service I received in a very very long time I will definitely be going back my sandwich was a bit pricey 17 bucks for a footlong with three cookies chips and soda but it was real good service can't be beat!!
