Food was alright, the halibut tacos were over seasoned. The portions were small. The food was incredibly overpriced. Especially for being listed as "$". I asked the server if I could order the halibut tacos a la carte because I didn't want the meal which was $26. She confirmed "without the rice and beans? So just two tacos?" I said yes. When the bill came, she charged me for the meal, even though she never indicated that a La carte would be the same price as the meal. My husband went to ask for the bill to be adjusted and they said it was the meal so that's how much it was. He told them I only got the two tacos, and they said that it doesn't matter, it's still the same as the meal. He had to argue with them that $26 for two very small fish tacos was a ridiculous price, and after quite an ordeal, they finally discounted it by $10. Even with the $10 discount, for a kids meal with 1 chicken taco, 2 a La carte fish tacos, 2 fish tacos with a small portion of rice and beans, and a small portion of guacamole was $70! Will never go back. The reason I'll give 2 stars instead of 1 is because the patio seating was a...

Ah, my dear friends, I have stumbled upon a true gem of a coffee shop! This is now my absolute favorite spot to grab a cup of joe. The chaps working there are simply delightful - always so kind and friendly. They exude a sense of ease and relaxation that is truly infectious. I've even caught them sipping on a glass of wine while they serve their customers - now that's what I call living the dream! But let me tell you, it's not just the charming staff that has won me over. No, no, no - it's the delectable vegan options that have truly stolen my heart. Their vegan donut is simply divine, and their oat milk lavender iced tea is a refreshing delight. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, it can be a challenge to find tasty options at coffee shops, but this place has truly nailed it. And let's not forget the location - nestled in the beautiful town of Laguna Beach, it's the perfect spot to stop in and recharge. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend you pay this place a visit. Trust me, you won't be...

Stopped by to get a cup of coffee tonight. Unfortunately, my experience with their cappuccinos was quite underwhelming.

First and foremost, the barista needs to be trained to understand/know what cappuccino means/looks/tastes.

My first cup was full of overheated milk, watery espresso shot, and 0 foam. It lacked the rich espresso flavor combined with creamy, velvety textured milk that is characteristic of a good cappuccino. The balance between the espresso and milk seemed off, leaving me with a subpar beverage that didn't live up to the standards.

I kindly asked to remake a cup pointing to the lack of taste and foam and got the second cappuccino. The foam on top of the cappuccino was disappointingly thin again ~1/8” and missing the desirable microfoam texture, still watery, overheated. As a cappuccino enthusiast, I look forward to that dense, silky foam that makes every sip enjoyable. Sadly, it was clearly lacking at this shop at this time.

Giving 3 stars because of the location and...

At Once Upon a Christmas on Balboa Island, You don’t have to wait in long lines to visit with Santa for 5 minutes. Your kids will have a dedicated time slot with 15-30 minutes of time to drink hot cocoa with Santa’s elves, make custom toys, and visit with Santa. The parents fill out a survey beforehand so Santa knows your kids names, favorite toys, hobbies, etc. and asks about these things throughout the visit. The personalization makes the experience so authentic and special for children. They also take photos of your visit with Santa, which are sent directly to the parents’ phones as soon as the visit concludes. This season I am partnering with Once Upon a Christmas to bring my calendar subscribers 10% off of their magical Christmas experience. Search “Once Upon a Christmas” in the subscriber calendar for more info on how to use this discount! Here is the pricing for the experience: Silver Tour: 15 minutes for $55-$65 per person Gold Tour: 20 minutes for $75-85 per person VIP Tour: 30 minutes for $425 for full family (up to 4 people) After your tour concludes I highly recommend visiting @succulentcoffeeroasters next door which is also a @eatdrinksantos restaurant. The Oaxacan Steak Tacos are incredible. If you have time, take a walk around the island and enjoy the Christmas lights!

2/2024 Return visit was better than the first time! Kevin and Bernice were very attentive servers with great attitudes. Dirty Chai latte was yummy! Cranberry muffin, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, breakfast burrito and beignets - everything was really good! We purchased beans to go and look forward to tasty coffee at home now too. The crowd was in n out in waves and I was lucky enough to get some nice shots of the restaurant. 9/2023 Excellent service! Friendly staff. Real eggs, not those fake powdered ones. Delicious coffee. Cold brew, or lattes with oat milk and home-made flavorings. Bar! Lovely outdoor patios. Highly recommend.

We were walking the area, getting some exercise, and decided Mexican food sounded good for lunch. Found this place. It's pretty cute that it looks like it's a house turned into a restaurant. The service was friendly and we sat outside to enjoy the day. I got the floutas. You get 3 big rolls..they were pretty greasy, but they were delicious! lol The thing that I thought was hilarious was the tiny amount of pico, guac, and sour cream they give with it. It was so small that it looked like Wasabi. But this is a Fancy Mexican Restaurant and not just a taco shop so..we had a good time anyway! Chips and salsa were good, nice and spicy!
