The food, excellent but significantly overpriced! The service, not so much! We went because the reviews said the service was outstanding even when packed. I had a party of 10, so I was really hoping for excellent service. It was completely empty in there save for maybe five people and they crammed us into two very small tables like sardines. I got a third table and put it together so that we could at least not be bumping elbows while we tried to eat. We waited 25 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and when I had questions on the sizes of the pizzas and how much they feed I was met with “uh, idk” We did not see the sign that said, scan the QR code to order your food, so we flagged down a waitress after about 40 minutes and ask if we could order and her response was “oh, I guess I could take your order for you” (don’t do us any favors) it was trivia night, so halfway through our meal they set up giant speakers behind us and all that chase us out with the sound. Our bill when we finally got it, was $300, for pizza! I asked for the bill and was told “not right now, we’re too busy” (I wonder if they’d have been too busy to chase us down if we’d left) We got a total of five pizzas, two orders of wings, two pretzels, two Mojitos and eight sodas. Definitely a tourist trap, and they got us. We will not be returning next summer when we...
Read moreThe bartender at this bar could not identify my real CA drivers license and broke it, leaving me without any form of identification until I can get a new one. (shouldn’t you be able to confirm that Newport Beach, CA license is real???) Instead of attempting to scan it or ask for another form of identification (which I told him multiple times I would be happy to do, I even told him I could provide him a scanned copy of my birth certificate on my phone) he bent my drivers license in half before asking me any questions. I am not complaining about not being served as he has every right to do so. However, I am unable to get a replacement drivers license from the CA DMV for 6-8 weeks and this has been a massive inconvenience all due to this mans inability to recognize a valid drivers license that is from the very city and state of the bar he is working at. Train your bartenders better, this is unacceptable.
Updated per your response: Regardless of whether other patrons of your bar are underage, that doesn’t excuse the fact that your bartenders are unable to identify an actual drivers license of someone who is of age. If anything, it shows how underage patrons were able to enter your establishment in the first place which is your...
Read moreCruisers is one of my neighborhood spots on the peninsula. It’s a great place to watch any kind of sports and they often have fights which I love and all of the sports whatever it is that you’re looking for if they don’t have it they will put it on for you.
I am not the hugest fan of the food I just kind of make do the food is not terrible but it’s also not like oh my God I can’t wait to have the chicken wings or the pizza. For a pizza place the pizza really is not my favorite which I think a lot of other reviewers have mentioned. I usually order the thin crust pizza with pepperoni super basic and I’m happy enough eating that it’s also not super expensive either so there’s also that.
I do really like the drinks here and they pour heavy … i’m not a super big fan of the soda water though maybe it’s the fountain and then they also serve out of plastic cups I don’t know if that’s a Covid thing or it’s an always thing but I really like my drinks out of actual glassware. So those are my only complaints. And the positives outweigh the negatives
PS my favorite drink on the menu is the jumbo margarita they make their own agave syrup or I’m not exactly sure but it’s a really really good margarita and I’ve only recently...
