It sucks for me to say this, because I have loved this place for quite some time. The food tastes great. Got Salmonella food poisoning here though, about a week ago, and it took a week, admitted to a hospital for some of that time to get better; worst experience of my life. I didn't want to believe that it was this place, but I know it is. My roommate and I both got just as sick, at the same time, only having eaten this in common. The other small meals I had the two days prior to symptoms were made at home and eaten by multiple people (none of who got sick). The sickness was caused by food... this food. Sucks, because I thought I could trust the quality...

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this Mexican restaurant. We stumbled upon this beautiful place while visiting Balboa Island in Newport Beach. From the minute, we walked to the door we felt welcomed! The chips and salsa that come with your order are amazing. I absolutely love tamales and their tamales are the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. My daughter says her burger is definitely a 10 out of 10. My husband, shrimp tacos were also amazing.
