Waffle House — Restaurant in Newport

My husband and I have been coming here to eat for years and it has always been amazing, until tonight. We placed our order like usual, 10 minutes later, my plate (cheeseburger and double order of hashbrowns) came. The waitress (Amy) informs us that they are out of gravy and that my husband needed to order something besides the biscuit and gravy that he had ordered 10 minutes earlier. So, while my plate sits on the table, untouched, we wait another 10 minutes for my husband's plate (cheeseburger and double order of hashbrowns) to be brought to the table. I asked the waitress why my hashbrowns weren't a double order and she informs me that they are. I look over at my husband's plate, and there is more than twice the amount on my plate, so she then had no choice but to tell me that she was bringing me more. After all this, were thinking that we can finally eat, even though my food was cold from sitting while we waited for my husband's food, only to get the bill and realize that the waitress (Amy) had overcharged us by almost a dollar. I understand that this is not a big amount of money, but no person should be overcharged any amount. Needless to say, we won't be coming back to our local Waffle House any time soon, if ever. Things like this ruin the enjoyable experience that we were always used to having here. So very...

Honestly, Ive been here quite a few times because I usually like waffle house, but I finally learned my lesson not to come here again. I ordered a 2 egg breakfast and an all star breakfast to-go and was charged $35. I knew something was wrong but I was in a hurry so I just paid it and left. I looked it up and I was right. The all star breakfast is only $7.50 and the 2 egg is less. We didn’t get any drinks. It should’ve been about $15. They almost always mess up the bacon but wth is this. Look at these pictures! The bacon is basically black! And of course I didnt see it until I got back because it was to-go. They obviously knew with it being that burnt that it was wrong, but they gave it to me anyways. The quality of this waffle house is one of the worst I have been to. I also got the completely wrong order. I got hashbrowns instead of grits. No waffle. They just completely messed...

First off I love the "Waffle House" their hash browns are the best...today our experience with the food was great,the service not so much so. Our waitress had about 5 inch nails and the personailty of a stone! No hello,good morning nothing,there was a young guy that was super nice when we walked in...so sorry that I didn't get his name a manager I belive. But to allow a waitress to serve people with those nails is not a good start to a meal,tons of bacteria stay under nails like that...and not even a hello. My boyfriend gave her a generousness tip too...not even a thank you for that! My advice us to cut the nails,and at least try to manage some semblance of a smile when serving people.I am in the hotel industry so I know how important it is to make customers...
