I was a manager for over a year (until I moved back to Newport just recently) and just walking into this Subway makes me cringe. I will not be back here till there is new management or until the manager does their job. The employees need to be trained better, most of them don’t know how to make a salad or a sandwich and they definitely don’t know how to wash their hands after every sandwich and even touching money then making another sandwich with the same gloves. Also the employees don’t know how to talk to the customers correctly. The bread is always hard and looks like they don’t make it the correct way. I have went in before and an older lady tried to give me a hard piece of bread she tried to explain that it will be softer if I would toast it (not how that works) I went in tonight around 7pm and got a salad and a flatbread sandwich. The young man and lady making my sandwich put all the meat in the middle of the sandwich I had to ask at the end for them to spread the meat out at the end. With my salad they didn’t ask me what meat or cheese I wanted in it and at the end I asked for ranch and the young man gave me so much ranch I had soup when I got home. I honestly don’t know how this restaurant passes inspection unless the inspectors really...
Read moreDear community,I am writing this to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred at the Subway Location in Newport Tennessee. It involves the mistreatment of a 90ish-year-old customer during the process of ordering his sandwich.
Without delving into unnecessary details, it's disheartening to report that the service provided fell short of the basic standards of customer care. The rudeness, disrespectful language and demeanor of the MANAGER were horrific. Instances like these are concerning and demand our collective attention. I encourage each of you to help hold local establishments accountable for the treatment of their patrons, especially our elderly community members. Yes, Some don't speak loudly, correctly or even quickly - but that's no reason to treat them so poorly.
Respect and dignity should be extended to every customer, regardless of age.It is my hope that this incident prompts corporate to thoroughly review the customer service practices at this particular Subway location and they reinforce the importance of respectful and considerate interactions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I trust that our community can work together to ensure that everyone receives the respect they deserve when patronizing...
Read moreI ordered my food here and told them at least 5 times to not put fresh onion and green peppers on my sandwich and only put them on ot if they were pre cooked and not heated in the microwave, or toaster when I say cooked either.... what did they do though? They put fresh onions and green peppers all over a 12 inch 15 dollar sub that I never ate because of that or got my money back on... ridiculous . It really really is to spend that much money then your time sitting at that drive thru to receive an order that is exactly the way you asked them at least 5 times not to make it! Blew my mind. Then to not get my money back. Oh believe you me they have an ordeal coming up with their corporate office because they shouldn't be able to get away with doing business like that because that is not how you do good business and when you make a.mistake....you correct it. That is how you get a clientele or customer base and how you build trust and relationships. Definitely not by screwing up an order then not giving a refund on your screw up. It's mind boggling how some of these businesses ever got started to get in a position to have a business or franchise operation to begin with....I'm sure they are sinking in debt...
