Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Newport

Called when someone finally answered I asked what specials they had. I was told q large specialty and 1 large one topping for 25 and change. Then was put on hold. Eventually someone picked up barely speaking English. I foreigner gave my order for the special and they said 42 and change. When questioning the price they put me on hold AGAIN. About 10min passes and the first guy I talked to answers and he apologizes and said they were using a outside company to handle phone in orders. offered to retake my order and transfered me back to the answering service to go through the exact same ordeal. By this time I just gave up.. A few days later a coworker ordered me n her a large 3 topping and was told would be $35 and an hour and a half delivery time. No thank papa John's. You lost 2 immediate sales in a few days. Papa John's no doubt has the best pizza in Newport and my future business will depend on if I can get past the ordering stage without needing a translator and not being priced as tho it is made of gold. It's pizza...

Use to be a regular customer. Kids got it on Fridays if they had a good week. Meaning probably gave this franchise 2-3 k in sales eaisly a yr. Never again. 3 times in a row..... 1st time was May 19th 2023.... Missing bread order and 2 litter.

People working seemed to not wanna work except two drivers and the manager. The man that took my order took it but seemed to hate I even placed it I ordered a specialty pizza large and cheese bread. For the price I paid I expect to get what I pay for if I wanted ok pizza I’d gotten a frozen one from the store. My pizza was very thin crust light on the toppings just tasted old not satisfied with my vacation dinner. I hope this location gets it together. My cheese bread was late going into oven as well 15 min turned into 30 min to pick up my order. For my trouble the manager at least gave me extra sauces....
