Bettina's Bakery — Restaurant in Newton

I really like this little bakery, owned and run by two pastry chefs. I’ve been half-a-dozen times and everything I’ve tried has been fresh and tasty. The sandwiches are large and served on fresh, homemade focaccia. We have tried and enjoyed the German ham and cheese, the schnitzel, and the turkey. My kids love the concha’s, which are a light sweet roll with cinnamon sugar on top. The chocolate mousse cake is decadent and delicious, the apple cake and Applekuchen (like an apple pie) were both great. I love the how homey and fresh everything is. Bettina’s is so special— truly a gem in the community to connect with others and enjoy delicious food. There just aren’t places like this anymore and it’s so needed. I come here with my husband and also friends with young kids, and everyone is so warm and conversational, from the owners to the other customers. Everything we’ve eaten here is amazing— our favorites include the perfect conchas, tender biscuit breakfast sandwiches and quality coffee. People really show up for each other here, and it’s such a warm and inviting space. We live nearby and will always recommend, and continue to come back...

We had an ultrasound yesterday to find out the gender of our baby— our family invited us to dinner after and we couldn’t wait to share the news. Last minute we decided to buy cupcakes and wanted there to be filling inside blue or pink, but couldn’t find a bakery to accommodate so last minute.
