Protip: Judith's Kitchen is run by hard-working people, they serve a great product. Call ahead if you know what you want to order!
Judith's Kitchen has a great sandwich ratio of volume versus cost. Meaning, your sandwich or burrito is going to be larger compared to another sandwich place, and it might be more affordable in comparison, too.
I witnessed a majestic looking sandwich placed on a plate, ready to be enjoyed in the restaurant. Below the serving area are a multitude of packaged desserts. Behind the desserts are a deli cooler offering up various salads.
The best part is the breakfast burrito. Made with a heaping scoop of eggs and cheese, then topped with bacon or sausage. These burritos also scored well on the volume/cost sandwich ratio.
But, the process making it was a bit tough when it gets busy. A gluten-free bread and wrap are available for people. The GF wrap was ordered for a breakfast burrito, and it was placed on a layer of foil to separate it from the possibly contaminated surface.
An employee then placed two wheat wraps on top of the GF wrap, contaminating the GF wrap through contact. The employee then labelled the corresponding wrap with a "GF," which did help because all of the wraps looked the same.
Despite the allergen contamination issue, the space is just a wonderful place to try many foods. Not only can you get a dizzying number of sandwich combinations, but they have a buffet/soup section, and they sell a variety of beers and wines.
I recommend coming here on a day where you want to try something flavorful and filling, just be aware of how they...
Read moreThe website for this place is admittedly confusing, because they only really highlight their catering options. However, don’t let that stop you from heading to Newton to check this out!
Judith’s is best for lunch. They have an extensive sandwich menu, all of which I’ve tried are delicious. You can choose from their pre-designed suggestions or make your own. They also have a delightful glass case with fresh vegetable and pasta salad options.
If you’re looking for breakfast, you can find it here but the options are much more limited. They have a few pre-made egg-based wraps and sandwiches. The coffee and tea menu is basic, they have lattes and some nicer tea selections but nothing too wild.
They have a nice cookie, chip, and wine selection here. This is right off the highway, so truthfully it’s one of my favorite places to stop when I’m heading on a trip out of Boston and looking for something to eat on the way or a place to meet people if I’m...
