TL:DR - Folks were wonderful, food was pretty good. Been meaning to check this place out for a while, now, and finally got the chance to go for lunch. I parked in one of the free lots off the side street and walked the short distance to the restaurant because I don't like street parking. Inside, the décor was colorful, and the staff were really welcoming. Since I was getting take-out, they gave me a menu, and invited me to take a seat while I decided. Then I ordered at the back counter. The selection of burritos was very limited - and all of them came "wet" style - meaning covered in some kind of sauce. This is not my favorite way to enjoy a burrito; I like to be able to pick them up to eat them. I ordered the Burrito Especial, and as the desserts were not listed on the menu, I had to ask if they had Tres Leches Cake (which they did). My order was finished pretty quickly, and soon I was back out the door. The Burrito Especial was drenched in the chipotle mayo sauce. The sauce was tasty, but again, I prefer my sauces on the inside. When I had asked if they could put all the sauces on the inside, they told me, "We don't do that. It comes on the outside." Speaking of the inside, there was a generous amount of meat (pork) that was tender, but not very flavorful. Just enough rice, too, but I literally had to open my burrito to check and see if there were any beans in there, because I couldn't find any. It was really light on the beans, which is confusing, as they are cheap, and an essential ingredient to a burrito. Average balance of tomatoes and lettuce. It was overall an average burrito. The Tres Leches Cake was a wonderful balance of sweet cake, and leches sauce at the bottom. It was the highlight of my lunch. They did not supply utensils, but luckily I had predicted that, and borrowed some beforehand. The burrito did not come with chips, though it did come with three pots of different sauces (guacamole, verde, and red salsa). I did not use the green pots, but the red salsa was fresh and tasty. Since I had no chips, I added it to the already soaked burrito. It was an average experience. Mildly disappointed in the burrito, but the rest of the menu items looked pretty fancy. If I go back, I'll try something else there, but not another wet burrito.

Excellent service, good food, fair prices. One area they could improve upon is their menus. There is little or no description under the dish e.g. fajita platter just has a picture of a fajita platter, it does not say that it comes with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, etc. Food presentation and flavor were both good. Food arrived quickly. The only thing that really bothered me was the addition of a non-cash adjustment to the bill which was not disclosed prior to ordering nor was it advertised anywhere on the menu or the building. It was nearly 4% in addition to the bill. I wouldn’t mind paying the fee but would have preferred it to be disclosed prior to getting my bill.

This was a fun tasty lunchtime visit for me and my two teens. "Shop small" said the sign on the door. It was a few dollars more expensive per person than i would have liked, but the food was quickly served. They had a number of differently priced items, which i appreciated. They were attentive, listened to what i asked and delivered. Food is spiced and spicy, if you ask for mild, you lose a bit of flavor. All in all a good lunch place for something different when you're in Netcong.

From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering aromas transport you straight to the heart of Mexico. But let’s talk about the star of the show—the food. Oh, the food! It’s nothing short of spectacular.

The Service: Warm, Welcoming, and Wonderful The service at Mi Rancho Mexican Grill is top-notch. The staff greets you with genuine smiles and makes you feel like family. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, they go above and beyond to ensure your experience is unforgettable. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations that never disappoint. And the speed? Perfect. You’re never left waiting too long, but it’s clear every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail.

The Food: A Flavor Explosion Now, let’s dive into the food—because that’s what you’re really here for. Every bite at Mi Rancho is a celebration of bold, authentic flavors. The menu is a treasure trove of Mexican classics, from sizzling fajitas to hearty enchiladas, and everything in between.

Tacos al Pastor: These tacos are a revelation. Juicy, marinated pork, perfectly charred, topped with fresh pineapple, cilantro, and onions. Each bite is a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and smoky. Guacamole: Made fresh at your table, this guac is creamy, zesty, and downright addictive. The chips are warm, crispy, and the perfect vehicle for this green gold. Carne Asada: Cooked to perfection, the steak is tender, flavorful, and served with all the traditional fixings. The rice and beans on the side? Absolutely divine. Chiles Rellenos: A masterpiece. The poblano peppers are stuffed with gooey cheese, lightly battered, and smothered in a rich, savory sauce. It’s comfort food at its finest.

And let’s not forget the drinks! The margaritas are perfectly balanced—tangy, sweet, and strong. The house-made horchata is creamy, cinnamon-spiced perfection.

The Ambiance: Festive and Inviting The decor at Mi Rancho Mexican Grill is colorful and lively, with traditional Mexican accents that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fiesta. The music is just the right volume—enough to set the mood but not overpower your conversation.
