I've been going here since they opened. I LOVE their burgers and their chef is fantastic. I've never had a bad meal here. My favorite is their Cheddar and (sauteed) Onion Burger with their special Guinness sauce. They have many other options to choose from though if you're not a burger person.
Drinks are terrific, I love their Dirty Grey Goose Martini, which is a little pricey, but worth it. They have plenty of beers on tap as well as bottled beers and a broad selection of hard liquor if you like to throw back a few shots. (If you're concerned about $$ though, ask before you order) , it's surprisingly easy to run up a $100 tab, especially when food is involved.
Speaking of food.... Everything and I mean EVERYTHING in their menu is awesome. Whether it's their specials or regular menu items you'll be happy with what you get. If you're not, let them know, they are also very accommodating as long as you're not rude or offensive to the servers. They are very happy to make sure you got what you ordered and that it was made the way you wanted.
They have two outdoor smoking areas for those of us that still enjoy a cigarette or cigar, and one of the smoking areas is in the front on the porch so you can bring your drink with you. Bonus!
One word of warning...Watch out for shows at the Newton Theatre particularly on Fridays and Saturdays between 6-8pm. A LOT of people use O'Reilly's as a pregame plane for a meal or drinks and if there is a sold out show at Newton Theatre, the 5:30-7:30 window well be PACKED.
If you are coming to see a show at the theater, read above and Come earlier... If you're not in town fort the theater, come early or after 7:45pm on a Friday or Saturday
Hope this...
Read moreWhere oh where do I start? I came here with my mother and her husband for the St. Patrick’s day parade. She prepaid 50 dollars to save our table. We got to the restaurant and the place was insanely packed. It took a very long time just to seat us. Once seated, we were handed a brunch menu with barely any options and couldn’t order the usual menu. Her husband left to get food down the street. The waitress left us after giving us these menus and didn’t return for about a half hour. It was probably longer than that before they finally took our drink order. We then waited for almost the same amount of time for our drinks to arrive. The waitress was lovely but it was clear that they were severely understaffed. My mother ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the corn beef hash. Her burrito arrived burnt and my food was tiny and resembled a dish that you would get in a high school cafeteria. It was also ice cold. I ate it since I was starving and didn’t notice until I finished that there was a hair on the knife. I let the waitress know and she came back with a 10 percent off coupon. We literally gave it to the people next to us. How offensive to offer ten percent off after finding hair in my ice cold food. We will...
Read moreIf you are going to a concert at the Newton theater DO NOT EAT HERE! When we ordered we told the waitress we were going to a show and please have our bill ready when our order is brought out so we could settle up. We waited one hour after ordering and never received our food. The waitress never came back after our initial drink order. We tracked her down twice and all she could say well everyone is going to the show. After 3 tables were served, which were seated after us, we tracked her down again and she said in a very snarky manner,”you weren’t here that long.” We asked for the check for our drinks because it was too late now to eat. She said you’ll have to see a manager and pointed her out instead of bringing her to us. More time passed when the “manager” finally came back and comped the drinks. This left us without dinner before the show was to begin, when we had a reservation one hour and 45 minuted before showtime. We were met in the parking lot by another employee who asked it there was anything she could do, too little, too late. We like to support local family owned businesses, however we can not recommend since we never...
