Pineapple Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Newton

Awful experience here. I placed an order online at 1130 for a noon pickup. At noon I was told the chef was late because of a train issue, and my food would be ready in 15 min. Long story short, I didn't get my food until 1250. Commute problems happen and I would have been fine with that, but 50 min! I saw dozens of customers come in after me, sit down, order, get food, eat, pay and leave before we got our order. Clearly they were prioritizing eat in customers over us. They gave an excuse it was because I indicated a sesame allergy, but 50 min waiting in store! The owner was not ever apologetic, just kept making excuses. At any other restaurant they would have offered free apps why we waited, or gave us a free entree on the order. But nothing here but an attitude like I owed him something. Overall my experience at the Pineapple Tie Cuisine was pretty good, but there were still things that should most definitely be changed. First of all, let me just say that the food was absolutely outstanding ( I would especially recommend the Pad Tie of any kind and the Pineapple Fried Rice), all the food is so fresh and cooked to perfection, good menu too. Also, the waitress named Mae is extremely friendly to everyone and very playful with children. Although the food and servers are outstanding, there are a few cons about the restaurant. First of all, the space is too small and some of the food takes a very long time to be served due to a shortage of chefs. Also, the food is so fresh that they are running out of food from time to time which included brown rice at one point. All in all it was a good restaurant but with a few flaws, so I think that it would deserve a fair 4. If they could expand their restaurant space and buy larger amounts of food to keep them from running out, I would 100% rate this...

I normally love this place and eat there often, probably 3 times a month, however Monday I had the Pineapple Curry with Tofu and got food poisoning. I've been sick for 2 days now and I'm sure it was eating there. Very disappointing and won't be eating there again.

Not sure how to response to the owner but I am also a little disappointed in the response, I am 100% positive I got food positioning from your restaurant. The only thing I ate the entire day. was from your restaurant and I got sick a few hours after eating there. I had nothing else prior to your food in almost 18 hours. I understand bad reviews are not what you want to hear or receive but my complaint is valid, and your response solidifies my reason for NEVER eating there again and letting others know not to as well.
