I've been to the Dedham MiniLuxe location twice now and had great experiences, so I tried the Chestnut Hill as it's closer to home. This studio is a but older and it feels like it when you walk in. All the services are preformed downstairs in the basement with no windows and the lighting is extremely harsh. I left after my mani/pedi with a huge headache from the lights and the noise - it's very loud with 15+ people in a small room. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure, both services were fine. About six hours after I left, one of my finger nails was already chipped. I was able to go in the next day to have it fixed, which I apricated but was still annoying since it didn't even last a day. Three days later, TWO more nails had chipped. I was able to go to the Seaport location and have these fixed, which was great and a much friendlier experience. Hopefully the rest of my nails...
Read moreJust ok. The place is a tad run down. The pedi area seats are all ripped. I paid for a massage upgrade for both my mani and pedi. They donât time it so you have no idea how long they will be. One was 10 min. One was less. And both werenât good at all. It was like a wet noodle petting and I had 2 different technicians so it wasnât the person. I asked my nails to be almond shape and they arenât. They are oval. I tried to state that but was having communication challenges so I just let it go. But they arenât perfectly filed at all and not in the shape I wanted. Not many color options either for dazzle dry. Overall just ok and considering I spent $200 total not sure I would return. They didnât offer any refreshments. Not even water. Disappointed as I truly expected a special experience given the price point...
Read moreUnfortunately this Miniluxe location was extremely disappointing. I waited in line to check-in and was told I was all set, later to get a message from the studio claiming I hadn't checked in while I was already in the middle of my service. The main problem though was the end result of the manicure I received - it was the lowest quality I have ever seen. I truly felt bad for my technician, as she seemed to not speak much English and appeared to be on edge/frightened. I emailed Miniluxe two days later telling them what happened and shared photos of the manicure. They offered me a chip fix or 20% off my next visit. Every single nail was uneven - not something a chip fix can solve. I definitely will not be going back to this or any Miniluxe location at this point. Photos attached of the manicure one day...
