Love Shake Shack when I have a chance to go, but this is more a local Shake Shack review than a general one. For a carnival burger and fries that remind you of your childhood along with a shake and/or a custard, a visit to any Shake Shack is a lot of fun. Love their little added specials here and there, such has the Korean chicken, and their seasonal items.
I have to mention though, that even though this store location has a ton of free parking nearby and is in a great location, I don't think there are enough indoor seats. Love the outdoor patio area for the warmer weather days/evenings, but that does not help in the winter or rainy Springtimes.
There are one too many times that I have gotten carry out when a spoon and adequate napkins and enough ketchup packets haven't been given to me and I have mobile ordered with them and gotten two disappointments, once with a printed on receipt request for the lettuce wrap that came with burger buns, and another time where the app did not allow for the lettuce wrap to be chosen for a period of time. Not sure why.
I have also had to wait in the rain for my ASAP order just a little too long more than once, so I have to take another star off for that.
My final issue, sadly, is that while I will continue to order from this location as it is near other places I visit, and this next point is for all Shake Shacks, and that is simply that once you order the main, the side, the beverage and the desert, the price point crosses over to a place where it's no longer a fun meal in terms of "what I could really have had" in a full sit down place. A burger/fries based meal with a beverage and dessert should not be in the mid $20's. Let's face it, it is still fast food, albeit on the higher end of things. (oh, also, when ordering cheese fries take out, the cheese is often barely dippable; That's an issue for sure.)
Still highly recommended for the American fast food experience for a date night or a family night out. For dining in, non-quarantine, this was as I recall and very clean and efficient place to eat. Maybe 3.5 stars.
New Visit: Double Smoke Shack was very good. Hot dog was overcooked and chewy and there was no relish available. Pricey meal even though I had the free water and the cashier left her station without taking my order or asking me to use a kiosk. Apparently no one else in the store had cashier training at the time. The order was not fast in coming even though it wasn't crowded.
I would still get the shakes & burgers but use a kiosk or the app and skip the dogs & fries. Very...
Read moreHello are you looking for a restaurant that makes you feel like you’re at home? Are you looking for a restaurant that you can have a lot of family members and children? Well come to Shake Shack where you all can have a great time. Thinking about there food makes my mouth start to water. Every time I go to a restaurant I think about Shake Shack.
When I get Shake Shack’s food I eat it in one bite. It smells as good as it tastes.Their burgers are delicious. When you eat it you will want another one. The drinks are just the right temperature. For drinks there's Sprite, Coca Cola and Water.
Shake Shack has great entertainment. The entertainment at Shake Shack is that you can see the chefs cook. There are four TV’S at Shake Shack so you can watch the games. If you are lucky you mite get a coloring book.
Hope you try out Shake Shack. Written by Nafi in Ms. Taryn's class
In Shake Shack they have good food. It’s in Chestnut Hill, near Boston Massachusetts. They have food like hot dogs or drinks like soda, or milkshakes. They have TV and music and if you like that stuff you should read this then go to Shake Shack!
In Shake Shack they have food like hot dogs, burgers, french fries, and chicken nuggets. They also have drinks like soda and milk shakes or apple juice and water. They have all the burgers you can think of and ketchup and mustard for the hot dogs. If you like toppings on your burger, then they have tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions. Also they have all the shakes you can think of and whipped cream for the shakes. They all taste like you're a Clemson player eating at the White House, but a little better and there's no president there.
The entertainment is AMAZING They legit have a yard you can play in they have open space. (to bring your own toy or soccer ball or baseball). And if you did not do that they have a foosball thing outside also another one inside i’ll talk about that later.
Inside of Shake Shack they have music and TVs and a foosball table. They have heaters so on a cold day you can just relax in there. If it’s hot, you can go outside. They have internet so if you need to do work or homework you can do it there.
These are all the reasons why I think you should go to Shake Shack at Chestnut Hill. Written by Dean, a third grader at...
Read moreSTAY AWAY if you value your time. Not worth the wait or the frustration. DON'T GO THERE!
I'll start by saying that I'm a big burger fan, and Shake Shack in general is a decent fast-food burger joint, as far as the quality of the burgers and extras.
Yesterday I had a really frustrating experience visiting the Shake Shack in Chestnut Hill, and it was so bad, I felt compelled to write this review.
I went to Shake Shack Chestnut hill to get a couple of burgers to go with my youngest son, with the hopes of grabbing the burgers and eating at home. Having just taken a to-go salad at the place next door (Shake Shack doesn't have any) that took all of two minutes, I was hoping we could be in and out of shake shack in 10 to 15 minutes. I was way off. I ended up waiting over 45 minutes for two burgers and a hot dog, only because I was with my son who's heart was set on it and didn't want to leave.
The employee scene at Shake Shack Chestnut Hill was as if you'd grab a random group of strangers off the street and ask them to run the place. Zero thought has gone into how to operate the place to get food out to customers waiting. There were literally dozens of burgers and fries piling up, waiting to be placed in trays and to-go bags, and no clear responsibility of who was supposed to be doing what. Just one giant mess. In the 45+ minutes I was there, almost every order was wrong, missing burgers, drinks, fries, you name it. Mine was missing the hot dog. After 45 minutes, Forty Five, yes.
This is an utter failure of management and leadership and frankly they owe their employees an apology for setting them up for failure, and unless they drastically change, this specific location deserves to go out of business.
Anyway, these have been my last 5 minutes dedicated to Shake Shack. They are dead to me now, and anybody that asks me where to go grab a burger locally.
The one silver lining in this whole ordeal, was that it served as a fantastic real world example to show my son how NOT to manage anything, yet alone a restaurant...
