Some how part of 1st shift staff schemed together, noting that I never came in until 2nd shift sever named Jennay told manager & fellow workers that I came behind the counter got in her face screaming she was a racist First of all I am a Christian not perfect but try my best to conduct myself accordingly I minister across the country over the years in many all African American churches many churches in the area know me well and are associated with me and I have adopted two biracial children as they were infant my baby girl is 18 her next birthday with this in mind, first of all if I would’ve come behind the counter and said that in her face which never happened the cameras would have it on film Secondly I do not understand why they agreed to conjure up such lies on me just because one or two of them didn’t likea Christian presence Of course the manager believed their story without any proof without anything on they are continually finally calling me a racist I have asked upper management to please deal with it and approach them an apology for defamation of character not just for me but all the people that I am associated with this was a manipulated incident and there are many people that will not go there now because they know what they have done and the manager will not do anything about it Billy he’s very rude and obnoxious treats employees very harshly if he doesn’t like them and normally has them moved to another store there are many witnesses to this that has been happening for at least 6 to 8 months we’re just like an apology from the people that told the lies and the management the store does have good food I like waffle house food I’ve been attending eating in waffle houses all across the country from here to Tucson i’ve never been treated like this in my life only because one or two people did not like me for some reason this needs to be corrected so hopefully the upper management can do something about it defamation of my character and ministry means a lot to me I have waited over six months and not voice my opinion out like this but it needs to be told and it needs to be dealt with sincerely a waffle...
Read moreI get it, this is one of the only places open late at night, but if you eat there after 10 pm, you are basically sharing the germs of everyone before you. Not once was any of the tables or counters wiped down after customers left. There were two waffles sitting next to the waffle makers before we ordered and once we placed our order for our specials, ate mostly all our food I reminded her we didn't get our meats or our waffles so she went back to pick up our meats and she took the waffles, which we sitting there for who knows how long before we sat there and served us the cold waffles. We were directly in front of the waffle makers, so she tried passing us someone else's unwanted order! I told her no, we are not eating those so she had to make us new waffles, which she didn't want to, and they were soggy and not cooked all the way which was grossed. I couldn't even finished my food because now all of it felt under cooked or overly cooked. The whole dish was inconsistent and just plain tasteless. In addition, the other waitress thought it was cute to have the front half of her long hair hanging freely from the rest of tied hair in a cap. Even my child, who has had food and safety handling classes in high school knows that was unacceptable. Eat at...
Read moreWorst ever. Very disappointed with the waffle hose on Hwy 70 in hickory. I have visited waffle houses quite often and often with my family as well. Last Thursday my son and i stopped for brunch and never have i waited 10 minutes to be aknowledged to order our drinks but another 35 minutes to get my usual beacon texas cheese steak w/hashbrown and my sons beacon egg and cheese w/hashbrowns scattered to bite into something so dry, burnt beacon that crumbled off the bread and made the sandwich tast awful. Thing is my son's beacon of course, was as well. I managed to eat half the sandwich mainly covering up the taste with the cold hashbrowns. My son was to hungry to wait for another as i wasn't about to eat the remainder of mine. I did mention it to the waitress and of course she apologized. I could understand if they were busy but to be on ur phone and not do ur job the way it should be is just neglect to me and yet to want and expect a tip for it is alittle much. By the way, she got 15% and i felt it was generous after the service and food we were served. But l, i have always been a waffle house fan and will probably continue to be. Maybe even a couple more breakfast on Christmas mornings. Never know. Mr....
