I used to enjoy taking my dad to breakfast here because he's very picky and this restaurant was always very consistent
Not anymore. The last time I took Dad for breakfast, I had to rush him home because he had diarrhea.
My sister and I had some business in niceville today so we decided to give it another try.
As always the service was quick. The coffee is excellent.
I asked for rye toast dark with my breakfast. The toast that came out wasn't even warm and was soggy and limp. There was so much grease on my plate that when the server was setting it down towards me grease was literally running off the plate.
I called her back immediately and asked her to please get me some toast that was actually toasted.
Evidently she noticed me trying to get all the grease off the plate, under the eggs, under the potatoes and dripping off the bacon. She came back came back and asked me if I just wanted her to take the entire plate to which I replied; Yes, Yes I do.
She then brought me some rye toast that was done just right.
But then she returned to tell me she was one of the owners and that I could have handled the situation better. I said excuse me? I should have handled it better? I asked for toast dark/well done! And you brought me soggy cold bread and I'm not supposed to tell you about it?
There was literally grease running off my plate. I'm sorry, how is one supposed to handle that?
My sister's plate was great. There was no grease on it and the eggs look great.
She was enjoying her breakfast until she found hair on the plate.
And as I was eating the new toast that they made me, we found a hair on my plate. That's it for me.
We were not charged for breakfast but we left $10 for her efforts however;
Neither of us will ever go back.
Perhaps the owner/server could have handled the...
Read moreStopped in this morning to have breakfast, as we walked in we were told to sit wherever we wanted. After sitting there for a few minutes, an older lady asked if we needed a menu & we replied yes. She says give me a second & I'll bring you one. It wasn't that busy, but she made it a point to cater to all of the Niceville policemen that were there, even one that showed up after we had been sitting there for almost 10 minutes. I tried getting her attention, but she never looked up. One of the cooks greets another lady & brings her utensils before she can sit down. Then he looks at us & asks if we need a menu but by that time my friend was aggravated & says let's just go. As we get up to walk out he loudly yells I was about to help you as if he wanted to embarrass us . Sir you really weren't trying to help us, you were the first to greet us & let us sit there almost 15 mins while you watched the older lady take care of the other customers. I don't want to make it a race thing as we were the only 2 African-Americans in the restaurant but it surely did feel like it was. Last time I was there with my Mom we had a similar situation & that was in 2019. Thought we'd give it another try but I'm good on this...
Read moreWe will NEVER RETURN TO this restaurant. It don't even deserve one star. I had to send my food back two times and the amount of food was horrible. They didn't even bring the complete orders and I ended up not even eating. The hash browns amount was so small almost didn't even see them on the plate. The waitress Kerri and the dark haired manager I think we're extremely unprofessional and rude. Kerri made rude and smart mouth comments in front of my grandkids and she even wrote rude comments on our ticket for me to see. The beverages taste horrible you can't even drink them. The cooks kept talking about flipping people off and how much longer they are on probation and the huge fines they have to pay. This was the worst experience I believe I've ever had at...
