I was sick, and wanted to grab something quick before returning back to santa rosa beach. I was in niceville and though it would be quicker to go to ValP to get a wrap and smoothie, even though I could have just went to the destin commons store which was in the direction of my home. I called in advance and placed my order. The lady said my order would be ready when I arrived. When I walked in with my small daughter there was a long line, and nowhere did I see food waiting for me. I nicely told the ladies that I had placed an order over the phone, and asked if I had to wait in line to get my food. They looked at the manager and she didnt see, very friendly and said YES, Get in line......So I was already confused at this point because it seems like the stores go through all this promotional marketing to get more customers with the online or calling in order process. So I stood in line for around 15 minutes with my daughter.(What exactly was the point in calling in). Im now upset Ive had to wait so long. As Im getting up to the register I see this small sign saying you must show your Drivers License to use a credit card. I call my husband and ask him to text me his DL because I had his debit card on me. When I get to the front, I am talking with the manager, and asked if I can show my husbands DL by text and use OUR pin to prove its us. She says no. I tell her I drove all this way, and was not told on the phone about this. She didnt care. She had a very nonchalant attitude about it. Almost like its her store and she didnt care but gave a fake sorry. Even though shes not sorry. Shes stubborn and stuck in her ways that dont seem to support corporate. Also I own a business, Im familiar with accepting credit cards. So I asker her if she made my food yet. She knew where I was going with this because I was upset I drove out of my way, then waited in line for an order that was supposed to be ready when I arrived. She said they had made it. I asked her where it was, and to show it to me. She said its here. Its ready. No proof, Wouldnt show me anything. She lied. They are completely unprofessional and I will never return. I walked out with a wasted phone call, waiting in a long line, after driving out of my way,...
Read moreA memorable experience. I was in town for the 2022 OCB Emerald Coast Classic on June 18 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College, and during intermission, which was only about an hour, I wanted to find a light & healthy place to eat in the area. I called a few places until I finally landed here. I just wanted a small smoothie made to order. And since I currently follow a low fodmap diet, I needed to ensure the ingredients were low fodmap. I was very pleased with the service and they made me perhaps one of the best tasting smoothies I've ever had! 🥤 😋 The ingredients were blueberries, ginger, peanut butter, chia seeds, oats, cinnamon, pea protein and a dash of sugar. First of all, I was unsure about the texture and thickness of the smoothie not having any plant-based milk, but I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with how creamy and delicious this smoothie was! And after 15-min of posing during prejudging, I was quite famished and Tropical Smoothie Cafe saved the day and even helped play a role in filling me out some for the finals (pic attached) 👏 I highly recommend this place. While the storefront appeared a bit bland, the inside was beautiful with a fully staffed and assembled team! Must've been at least 5-6 employees there! 👏👌 It was just an amazing experience and loved the area. It's right by a beautiful looking bay. Courtney took my order and did a fabulous job along with everyone else working that shift! If I could give a 50 star ⭐...
Read moreI came in here a couple of weeks ago (we come here ALL the time) specifically at 3pm to get the discount and Jayden (Jay) took my order. I ordered food and a couple smoothies. I understand if you add food to your ticket, then you dont get a discount. I asked if he could ring it up separate but instead of asking for help with how to do so, he told me "it was too late" even though I didn't even pay yet. Like, what?? Then I spoke to the supervisor and she said there was nothing she could do. I mean, I would have accepted a complimentary child sized smoothie as the difference. My mom spoke to the GM who told us the stop by the next day for a complimentary smoothie. So, when she went in Jayden was completely disrespectful towards her and totally inappropriate. We tip EVERY TIME we come here, 20%. I think it's funny someone would have the audacity to tape a sign to the register explaining why they deserve tips when the staff is going to handle customer requests/complaints in this manner. Talk about extremely awkward. We have unfortunately lost the taste for Tropical smoothie and will...
