I don’t understand how this place gets a good reviews. I’ve been here numerous times, and after my last visit, I will not be returning. We were the first people whenever the restaurant opened. We sat at the bar And after several minutes, Our server appeared. We ordered our drinks and we handed the menu and quickly ordered food and literally within two minutes of ordering our food. My fajitas were absolutely dripping in grease. As we started to eat our food, another woman came by and decided to mop behind the bar while we were sitting there eating. Isn’t this something that’s done at closing time the night before, not when customers are sitting there eating their food? When we needed a refill on our beer, they use the same glass instead of getting a clean one. Every time I’ve been in this place, I’ve had poor service. We actually had a woman while we were eating our tortilla chips and salsa come up and pick up our basket and our salsa with her hands to clean the bar top once again clean the bar top should be done after the customer leaves, and before the new customer sits down, not whenever a customer is sitting there with food in front of them, and you are picking up their food items with your bare hands. They seriously need to do better, and there are much better options in the area...
Read moreWe ate at Peppers tonight in Niceville, FL on the recommendation of our hotel next door the Holiday Inn Express. They said if we showed them our key they would also give us 10% off so we took advantage of it. When we arrived around 8pm we were promptly seated. The restaurant wasn't real busy, but the parking lot seemed full. Our waiter, Oscar, was excellent and very nice and attentive. He really was awesome. We never had to ask for anything as he did refills before we had to ask, brought us extra napkins, and had plenty of salsa. He gave great recommendations on the menu and everyone loved their food. The menu is moderately priced and you get plenty of food. We all left full and could have taken back a box of food with us, but staying at a hotel we decided not to take anything back with us. I eat out a lot and eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and Peppers did not disappoint. The salsa was heavy on the Cilantro, but otherwise good. Chips were fine and were complementary. We had the Fajita Al-Pastor, Steak Fajitas, Shrimp Quesadilla, and the Pelusa Texana and all were very good. Also we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive either. I was roughly 15minutes I believe. Overall it was a great visit and Oscar made it even better. Hope this review helped...
Read moreI had received raving reviews about how great this place was. When I first entered, it was lively, well-lit, and clean. The service staff was initially prompt, but that didn't last long. Food came from the kitchen extremely fast but then our service quickly deteriorated. After our server dropped off our food, we barely saw her again. She neglected to bring additional items that we asked for as she dropped off our plates. BTW, she never brought those items. My friend and I ordered dishes that required tortillas but I wasn't given any. The price of shrimp fajitas is $20.49 for a single order. The portion of shrimp with onions, peppers and grilled tomatoes is large but then they cheap out by only bringing 2 tortillas......and those tortillas smell and taste like your average store-bought tortilla. I also ordered a large margarita that was $20.99, which wasn't printed on the menu. So, honestly, why, if I'm spending over $40 for food and drink for one person are they being so stingy with the torillas, as if those things are expensive? This place has great food coming out of the kitchen, with the exception of the tortillas, but service lacks in attention to detail and...
