My family and I went on Friday after Thanksgiving. We got there at 11am. They had plenty of parking and we got seated immediately. We have some other adults that showed up separately. We had our drinks ordered and 2 apps. 1 was breadsticks and the other fried pickles. Everyone liked the fried pickles except me. There was plenty apps. and butter for the breadsticks. There was 2 adults that ordered the chicken fried steak with 2 sides and biscuit. A kid order of corndog and fries. An adult order of fried chicken livers with 2 sides and a biscuit. An adult order fried beef liver with onions and 2 sides and a biscuit. There was tons of food and the server kept the sweet tea and soda glasses full. Even the manager stepped out and asked us if everything was good. And it was or like our young son said "its rocking". Than for dessert there was a kids ice cream with chocolate sauce, blackberry cobble a la mode, and a peach cobbler a la mode. It was amazing. The server and food was a 10. The prices were down to earth. The only complaint was the time it took to pay the check. But maybe the cashier was busy doing something in the back. But this minor thing would not keep me...
Read moreHave not been to Po Folks in years, but still as good as I remember. Tony was my server, very courteous, polite and efficient.
Edit.....went today and was very disappointed. I felt like I was being rushed to finish my meal and leave. I went when they first opened today, not many people. Had a side salad and before I was done with it, my server came and wanted to take my dish away, had to tell him I was still eating. Not once did I get or offered a refill on my tea. The biscuit that came out with my meal was cold and hard, mashed potatoes were nothing but soup with the gravy.
Edit....... after a very disappointing 2nd meal here, I decided to try again. There was 5 of us dining. It was a wonderful experience again. Tony was are server, very attentive and efficient. I had the seafood plate, had fried fish, shrimp and clam strips, boy do they pile on the clam strips! Cole slaw and tater salad with hushpuppies Enough for me to take home for dinner. In fact all 5 of us ended up taking containers of food home. I changed my...

She always got the vegetable plate and she loves the sweet tea,And we used to add 1 in fort Walton on a lone Parkway and it closed down. So now we have to go to a nice field to go to it. But I mean, I still like going cause. It is one of my favorite places. Well, if it's the same thing I mean, I do for the most part. I've tried a couple different things here and there. But the countryside stays still my favorite and then like I said, the vegetables. I love the country vegetables. And then, of course, the famous moonpies. And then you know they make the service routine out of the Mason jars, so it's bellywalsher's.. Let's just say no, it's fun and go look at all the like history stuff. They hang up on the walls instead of little different signs and stuff that they use the product in the restaurant, so, but when you're going to youtime, we can...
