Not the worst but not what we are use to. Salsa was ok, flavor was good, not very flavorful but not just tomato taste either. Nice addition was the bean dip that was given with the salsa and chips, it was a nice surprise. Sodas were watered down, not much carbonation but not terrible enough to ask for different drinks. Service was good, a bit slow for not being really busy, had to flag someone down to give our order and get the check to go. Food was hot and tasted pretty good. One meal came wrong, my son wanted a kids hamburger meal and it came out a cheeseburger. The waiter originally told me that it is on the menu as a cheeseburger, which it was not or we would have asked for no cheese. It did not seem like he wanted to fix it, kept telling me that is what was ordered. Another gentleman was helping bring out our food and the waiter asked him about it, and he said to fix it, thankfully. We were going to peel the cheese off, but the food was so hot that it was way too gooey and soaked into the bun. The steak in the Carne asada was flavorful and was a great portion. The birria tacos were good, sauce was tasty. The chimichanga meal was good, chicken did not have a lot of flavor but was moist, it was covered in a cheese sauce which was good. Overall was ok, we are still on the hunt for a really good Mexican restaurant that we would like to go back to on a...
Read moreI normally try not to give out low ratings, especially for local businesses because I love to support them. However, this was our first time visiting this place since they opened here in Niceville and I afraid I don’t think we’ll be visiting them again. For starters their prices seemed high for their offered plate portions. And food didn’t taste all that great either. It was missing a character or authenticity (if you will). It tasted bland. We ordered 4 different dishes and neither one actually impressed us. Fajita meat had too much salt in it. Additionally, there was an issue with our check too. Waiter messed up our order then charged the card, then went back had to cancel it then he retook our order and charged it again. Basically we felt like this place just wasn’t for us. None of us were able to finish our plates and that’s not because we got full or couldn’t eat anymore. It was way far from that… matter fact we had to stop at a fast food chain on the way home to grab us some bites so we won’t have to cook at home after returning from a restaurant. I’m giving two starts for the politeness of the staff but otherwise it’s a one star place. And it’s too bad that it didn’t work out, we’re really looking forward to liking this place… oh well it wasn’t...
Read moreFirst time here for my husband and I. The food was your typical Mexican food. I had the Nacho's Locos, they were pretty good but you shouldn't have to pay an extra $3.00 to get like an ounce of sour cream, and guacamole on it. It should automatically come with the nachos that you charge like $13.00 for them. My husband got the Chicken chimichaunga with side of rice and refried beans. The Chicken chimichaunga was typical, but the rice was really seasoned well. The refried beans weren't so seasoned, bland at best. My husband also ordered the Steak Burrito. The iced tea was good sweetened just right not to sweet. The overall service was ok. But the biggest turn off was the annoying loud music being played overhead, so loud that my husband and I could barely hear each other talk and to talk louder to talk over the blaring awful music. If anything that I could recommend to the manager or owner of this restaurant is that turn that music off our way way way down so that it's barely audible. I'm sure my husband and I aren't the only ones that were annoyed by that blaring music. Overall just an...
