Captain D's — Restaurant in Nicholasville

Yes,it's a good place to eat,they keep everything clean ect. However if u wanna work there I'd recommend u don't. There all family.. Everyone their has been there for years which is fine but than u start to understand its almost like a cliq,if u don't become apart of that cliq,well don't expect to work there long. Seen 2 people who had mental illnesses go in there and honestly do the best they can with the illnesses they have yet face discrimination,they'd sit there and talk about them in unkind mean ways behind their back,than once the person starts to understand how there being treated the employee tries to ask how he can become better to improve. Instead of giving tips and being honest they lie so that person ends up getting fired,then they'll complain how they don't have enough staff. The main manager also keeps a shift manager even tho shes rude and mean,why does she still have her job if shes mean? Also love working like a 20 gallon bucket of hot oil and watch a 10 month old baby come into the back definitely no safety concerns there...shes the managers daughter that's why she's kept her job.Also got paid a dollar less than them bc they knew I was desperate for a job. Don't see the point in giving the employee u think is more capable less,than the one u believe is uncapable. Essentially discrimination against mental illnesses is the main complaint. Btw quit complaining about people with schizophrenia being physically and pyscologically slow. The meds THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE makes them that slow. Don't complain about not enough employees yet u keep a manger there literally no one likes and yall Continuously run off any new employees. I would also mention not enough hours however if they have no hours that typically means ur trynnna make them quit so u don't have to answer to why u lost...

This location messes up occasionally but today was nothing but ridiculous. I received coupons in the mail. Get one 2pc fish need fries for 3.49 or get two 2pc fish need fries for 5.99. Sup I ordered the 2 for 5.99 and a kids meal for 2.49 well my total was almost $17 I ask why and apparently I got charged 5.99 for each meal um no it says get TWO for 5.99 it didn't say each. They stand around for awhile then tell me they don't have a coupon to very both for 5.99. Well why would I pay $6 for something that's 3.49? They wouldn't value this coupon at all, spoke to me like I'm a idiot. I just asked for my money back. As I drove off the girl working drive thru said something smart ass. I know it's fast food but still you have a job to do. I'll never be back to the nicholasville location because of this visit. Why have coupons if you're not going to value them? I passed by the drive-thru Monday the 19th, i was at the speaker for a good 3 minutes and no one would speak or tell me to hold on or wait, seeing that there was only 1 car i was thinking it must be closed, so i drove up to the window and a female opened the window and i said " i couldn't hear you" she said "well i head you" but i was with a custumer with a upset face, i asked if she can take my order she very rudely and with 1 hand on window to almost close it said " you will wait a minute cause i have someone on the speaker" , at the point i asked her that i was at the speaker and she never asked me to hold or wait, and pretty much she said to leave if i didn't like it, which me and my full truck of employees took our business somewhere else.

Me having worked in fast foor for a good amount from teen to early 20s knows the value and reward of good customer service and management and that lady lacks both and...
