Mi Pequena Hacienda — Restaurant in Nicholasville

Buckle in because this negative review is a laundry list. It's honestly so bad that it's nearly comical. My friend and I went at 3:15pm with our two kids. We placed an order with a server that admitted it was his first day. No one was shadowing him or helping him at all. Poor guy had a hard time understanding our orders but we got through it. And then we waited and waited. And then waited. After about 30 minutes and 4 hungry kids getting restless we finally got our food. I asked for a vegetarian taco salad and the salad ended up having beef in it. Not a huge deal. I told him and asked for a replacement without the beef. It takes about an additional 10 minutes to get the second salad. This salad had absolutely nothing in it (sauteed veggies, green peppers, sauce). It was shredded iceberg lettuce and shredded cheese. After asking for a replacement again, the manager gave me the salad I had ordered (finally). This was at 4:15, an hour after we'd sat down and about 15 minutes after everyone else at my table had finished eating. While we'd been sitting they also mopped the floor next to our table, and the 3 year old slipped and fell on his way to the bathroom. Then they vacuumed (!?) right next to our table. They combined the checks even though we asked twice to split them and explained how to split them. They ran my friend's card multiple times... Instead of $30, they rang her up for $45, then $100, then $13, then $30! The incompetence was honestly outrageous and we didn't get out of there until 5:00. Overwhelming impressive dinner for the group of 10 I was with. Dined Wednesday night as part of a Roca Patron pairing with mostly items on the menu and one opportunity for their chefs to impress with their talents. From outside you might think you are in vegas with the big lights that are directing you in from far away. I appreciate that the decor was more modern, not the normal clown colored chairs and tables one might expect at a Mexican restaurant. We got to try their tasty margarita with roca patron, it was a sugar sour mix in it (normally not my thing) on the rocks which is there standard, not overwhelming sweet, it was well balanced, and refreshing, though I'm sure that isn't their well tequila. Food wise we started with a chicken tortilla soup, warm, flavorful, and perfect right now in winter. Moved on to the salmon seviche (there normal is shrimp on the menu), also very good, could use a tinch more lime juice, but still was very good. Dinner was off the menu with a steak chimichurri, steak was cooked right, and very well paired chimichurri. I add this part to show that the talent level of the kitchen was very impressive, to go off menu and pull off something really really tasty. Dessert was a delightful cheesecake. Well I wouldn’t give it even 1 star 0stars isn’t an option. This is the 2nd incident where I have bought food which 1 was a door dash order and the other was a to go order ans they messed up both times. the first time because they left out and entire meal which we paid over $75 for. I called to complain and they pretty much said the server who bagged my order said he put everything n the bag. Of course he said that because he didn’t want to get in trouble. They did nothing about that order. The 2nd time they left out 3 tacos from my husbands food. I called back and the younger gentleman who checked me out when I picked up my order answered the phone and I told him what happen so he told me I would have a free replacement meal. He said he wrote my name down in a book. I called 3 weeks later and once again they said well there is nothing we can do because your name isn’t in the book. So the younger gentleman didn’t do his job so now I lost another meal I paid for. I spend a lot of money at this resteraunt and I get treated like this. I will take my money elsewhere.
