Going to this Popeyes is a bit of a hit and miss. You may either get brilliant service or mediocre service. I have been three times, the first was soon after they opened - food was great but it took a long time to get. This could be explained due to staff inexperience.
Sept 2025 update: It really is hit or miss when placing on order online for pickup. It may be at the store, it may not be. You pay for it, arrive at the store and they have no record of it.
The second time I ordered online, went to pick it up at the allotted time and waited for about five minutes before getting my order.
The third time - granted it was Sunday before the game - I placed an order online and went to pick it up. First warning sign - loads of people waiting, had to check with the staff and only then was my order printed out and submitted. No indication of how long one would wait. I managed to get a date for pickup shown on the app with a wait of about 40 minutes. Well, after an hour I asked for the order to be cancelled (having seen only three people get their orders during that time), only to be told a couple more minutes. About fifteen minutes later I left without my order.
I am now battling to get a refund for an order that I never received. Here's a recommendation: Let customers know what the actual wait time will be BEFORE ordering. Do not accept orders coming in and not give any indication of how long it will take - including for online orders. I would not have ordered from Popeyes and added to your backlog if there was an indication that one would need to wait for over an hour.
The staff was overwhelmed and not managing the people waiting at all - more feedback and allowing people to cancel at the time would have made things easier for some.
Overall a poor reflection and Popeyes, while the food is good, is now on the "let us rather consider alternatives" list, even though other places may be less convenient.
Updated: March 2025. Tried Popeyes again and the online order process and pickup worked out. Am increasing...
Read moreSo this is the 2nd time I came to this Popeyes and order popcorn shrimp. The 1st time I ordered through the drive thru I get home and the popcorn chicken was cold and there were about 12 pieces in the box with no cocktail sauce. I ended up throwing it away. Mind u it costs 12.00 plus tax just the popcorn shrimp not the combo. So today I come back I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt shit happens. So I order through the drive thru and order of popcorn shrimp.Thery were slow I was the only car in the drive thru and in the parking lot. So I get to the window and the drive thru employee hands me a bag instead of me driving off I checked and guess what? Even worse this time . They gave me popcorn shrimp that must of been sitting there for a couple of hours and like 10 pieces that were hard and cold. So I asked the cashier how can popcorn shrimp come out so fast? Her response was they started making it when I ordered it I toold her it took me 30 seconds to get from the ordering mic menu to the window. So i asked her to make me a fresh order. She did get me a fresh order of popcorn shrimp and it took10 min to make not 30 sec. . MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR FOOD...
Read moreI never thought a fast food restaurant could actually shift my outlook on life, but then I met Popeyes.
Before Popeyes, I was just floating through drive-thrus — soggy fries, flavorless chicken, same old routine. But the first time I bit into a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich, it was like my taste buds finally woke up. The crispy, perfectly seasoned crust, the juicy chicken that actually tasted like chicken, and that buttery bun with just the right kick of heat? Game changer.
I started going back. And not just for the sandwich. The red beans and rice, the buttery biscuits, and even the crispy cajun fries — it all felt like comfort food that didn’t just fill me up but fed my soul.
But the real change? It reminded me that simple things — like great food — can turn a rough day around. It became my go-to after long nights, hard workouts, and even during stress. Popeyes became a ritual, a little act of self-care wrapped in orange and white.
It’s more than fast food. It’s a reminder that bold flavors, good vibes, and crispy chicken can sometimes be exactly what you need...
