Verde Avocado — Restaurant in Niles Township

I’ve ordered from this place twice in the past week. I think they’ve only been open a couple of weeks now. The people behind the counter are all so friendly and the food is pretty good.

The first time I ordered from here I got the two taco lunch special and for $8 I was surprised by the size of the meal. A great portion of rice and beans and the two chicken tacos stuffed to the edges of the tortillas with chicken, onions, and cilantro. The beans and rice flavor wise are the same as most Mexican restaurants…bland and basic, but I think they make it from scratch cause the refried beans have actual whole beans in the mix giving it a bite to it unlike most places whose beans are just a blended blob. The chicken in the tacos was season great except a little to salty for my taste but was cooked perfectly. Not overcooked, dry, and chewy. The sauces are good and tasty but I wish they were spicier.

The second time I ordered from here I got the chicken fajitas lunch special and same big portions of beans and rice but a different type of chicken compared to the chicken in the tacos. The tacos are marinated cube cut chicken. The chicken in the fajitas is cut in strips and cooked on the grill with onions and green pepper. They give you five tortillas on the side and the portion of the fajitas mix was more than enough to make five fully stuffed fajitas. So much better than getting the fajitas from Chili’s across the street.

I highly recommend this place but I only wish they had a spicier sauce/salsa or have an option where I can add spicy grilled jalapeños...

Major Shout out to our server Razia as she was truly setting the bar for excellence with regard to customer service and our overall dining experience, She brought out a basket of chips and salsas. I ordered the three taco steak dinner with everything lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, avocado, sour cream that comes with rice and beans As well as a large glass of Horchata. My wife ordered the enchilada Verde, which also comes with rice and beans and a sprite. Verde avocado is truly setting the bar for excellence when it comes to Mexican cuisine was extremely pleased with the overall experience will definitely come back again in the future so if your neighbor in the neighborhood and want a quick bite to eat with a full service sitdown experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. from top to bottom, the experience is a pleasant one. I’ve seen Verde Avocado countless times over the years, but I’m very skeptical when it comes to trying out new establishments. One evening I was under the weather and I didn’t feel like making dinner so I decided to Doordash Verde Avocado I ordered the Pollo de Res, giant steak quesadillas, and fries. The portions were beyond generous I had enough soup for two full servings! The giant quesadillas were not for me, but I tasted one of them just to try it because they looked so delicious and they were just as good as they looked. I love spicy food so the salsa was exactly the way I like it. Also, my order was secured properly for the delivery I promise you, you couldn’t ask for a better restaurant! I’ve ordered several times since and the food plus the service have remained consistent. This will be my new favorite and only place to go for authentic Mexican cuisine!
