Am I able to give this 0 stars?? My fiance and I stayed in the hotel for a weekend in April. We arrived too early to check in, so we stopped in Bar Louie for lunch. We sat at the bar and the server was new, which was okay because she apologized for being slow and asked other servers questions if she didn't know the answer. Despite getting TWO gross wine glasses that was beyond dirty with lip prints/finger prints, she apologized and cleaned it again and gave me new wine. Fast forward to that evening... we decided to stop in Bar Louie for a drink. We sit at the bar again, this time with the server David. With only 4 customers at the bar, he took his slow time. It took forever to get noticed, we ordered a drink, and then my fiance wanted a second one. David had no clue what he ordered for the first round, are you kidding?! By the time he got the second drink, we asked for the check, because we knew that would take a while to get. He said okay, and then we had to ask another time, because he forgot. Still, only 4 people at the bar that he was managing. On a $12 tab, we tipped very little, as the service was poor. People, please keep your receipts from this place and check your bank statements. David decided to give himself a $4 tip... I called Bar Louie and spoke with Victor. He was very understanding and said he would get it credited back. We are not worried about this little money, but rather the principle of this. I then get a call from another manager, and she wanted the credit card to credit the amount back. Once again, we don't need this to happen, but rather not let this happen again to anyone else. She never once apologized and said they would have a talk with David. I would rather it not be a talk, but more than that. It is against the law to do this, and if he does something as changing his tip amount on customer's receipts, what else is he doing at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a joke! As a guest at the hotel I went down for some dinner. Iām traveling for work, so it was a convenient spot for dinner. I sat at the bar that was busy, but not so crowded you wouldnāt be noticed. I sat down and was asked what I wanted to drink, I ordered a water and ask to see a menu. I was brought a water immediately. There were several others that were around me that also had water and were enjoying their food. I than sat there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take me order⦠there were two young guys behind the bar who I kept trying to make eye contact with to let them know I was ready, but no luck. So after 15 minutes of being ignored and the guy passing by me to check on the lady sitting next to me, if she needed anything, I got up and left. I was prepared to order the wings $16.95 and the shrimp and grits $23.75, so they cost themselves business and money tonight. If you are staying here and want to grab dinner, do it somewhere else, youāll most likely get served.
Update: So they reached out and said āso sorry weād like to make it up to youā, they invited me in to a dinner on them, āif I was ever in the area againā. I emailed back after several back and forth and said, good news, Iām here for another week and I would love to have my mind and my review changed. After I accepted their offer to have a comp meal on them and advised I WAS still in the area, absolutely no more responses! Haha, they didnāt even follow through with their offer to make it right. Still a joke of a way to get and retain customers. I guess they count on the fact that they are in a hotel so the traffic comes from that. ALL WHO ARE READING, STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE! There are a ton of other options...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was staying at the Holiday Inn in which Bar Louis is located. In any room was a QR code on an advertisement, stating that one could use the code for easy ordering.
I used the code and was offered choices of pick up, delivery, dine in, or room service.
I selected room service and ordered the cheese steak dip sandwich, a side of loaded tots, and fried cheese curds.
I received an email acknowledging .y order and stating my order would be ready by 6:20pm. The email went on to say that my order would be brought to my room shortly thereafter.
6:30, 6:40, 7:00, and 7:15pm all rolled by, but not delivery.
I called down to enquire about my order and was told, "We don't do room service. You'll need to com pick it up."
After I retrieved my order and got back to my room, I opened the sandwich container to find a mini-sandwich or (at that point) and hot dog sized bun with a bit of meat, a slice of cheese, and cold dipping sauce.
The flavor was ok, nothing special in any area of the country known for exquisite beef sandwiches.
The cheese curds, again an hour old and cold, came with a nice red sauce for dipping. My personal preference is the typical, yellow cheddar curds (having grown-up up in Wisconsin, let's just say, I KNOW my chese curds). These were white cheddar, lacking in flavor.
The tots were a small scoop of tots, a sprinkling of bacon, and a spoon of cheese, topped with three, very thinly sliced fresh jalapeƱo rings.
This was not a good meal and was extremely overpriced for the size of the portions and the lack of quality, and ordered room service as was advertised.
I will not...
