We were walk-ins. Me and my Fiancé waited close to 7 minutes after paying for our order. We only ordered 1 drink and 2 breakfast sandwiches. Not a terrible wait time but not great at all considering how basic our order was. However, we realize that priority is given to mobile orders and drive thru. We wanted to eat outside originally in the patio area but ALL the tables were utterly filthy, so we had no choice but to eat inside (some of the tables inside were unwiped too).
Why 1 star? Its for the atmosphere that we were witness to that is the result of not enough competent staff members. When you have a bunch of staff members who aren't really proficient in juggling a high volume of orders and/or making them to a satisfactory quality, it starts to upset the customers. There was a lady who came in for a mobile pick up order but it wasn't 100% completed yet. She sipped one of the drinks that was ready and it was terrible according to her. She asked one of the baristas to remake (a lot of the baristas were kind of avoiding her because they were busy enough as is with their individual tasks). I guess one eventually attended her. By that time, this lady had been waiting 5-7 minutes for an order she probably thought was going to be in and out. It created a sense of "2nd hand frustration/anxiety" in me to witness this lady wait and wait (remember, we waited close to 7 minutes for our order after paying).
Then, this ladies friend came into the store screaming (to who exactly?) after her friend was waiting too long at the mobile pickup area. This hot-head was running late for something I guess. I came in here to eat breakfast in peace, I didn't need to hear someone freak out and ruin the harmony of the store. So disrespectful to the patrons already here!! But again, why is it taking so long for orders to be completed? Could have all been avoided. Did they ever finish her order? Idk. Did they offer her an apology? IDK. Did they offer to refund? IDK. No one with any authority appeared to de-escalate it.
long wait times+ dirty tables + no manager on site/lack of de-escalation skills = Poor management
I would expect this kind of quality at McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts,...
Read moreHello all,
I am an individual taking on the discipline of economics at a nearby university. I have a lot of experience in retail such as being a grocery clerk, a recreational leader for The Chicago park district and, being a banker for 3 and a half years. I am out of a job and in the point where it is hard to finance My education. A lot of hard work has been done to gain skills and experience in hope to become competitive in the job market. I’m getting near my final strides for college and I was told that I am unfit for this position when I have more than an abundance to offer for the position applied for in this location. I was told that we would go over the job description but instead I was being asked about my banking experiences. I replied very sincerely with an explanation to answer the questions being asked, and I was left with no opportunity at hand which seemed as if what I responded was invalid. I was told that they would move on to other candidates that better fit this position. Now I constantly have headaches trying to understand how this country and the private sector has lost its quality of life. To pursue mentorship to the ones who work hard to earn real income and to not live off of anyone’s taxes; to promote development even though they are one of many pit stops on the road for someone to make a change in what they want to do. I can go on and on about this but I very much hope everyone reads this comment and stands with me on this. We shouldn’t generate revenue to companies who only negotiate one way avenues and who think of themselves...
Read moreI don’t complain a lot considering how often I go out. However this is probably one of the worst Starbucks I’ve experienced. Went yesterday and ordered a brown sugar iced shaken espresso with sweet cream cold foam on top. I get this everywhere else and have a small layer of sweet cream. I got only a drizzle on top at this location. I didn’t want to be a Karen or waste it so I made myself drink it. I went back later to order it again and give them another chance. Matthew seemed really kind and I got the same drink but asked for extra sweet cream cold foam this time. Also got two impossible breakfast sandwiches. The “extra” sweet cream was still less than any other location’s regular amount. The breakfast sandwiches were poorly put together and sticking to the inside of the bag. I went back around in the drive thru and asked for some extra sweet cream cold foam to add to my drink. They gave a small cup of it which was way more than enough this time but I was charged for it again which I feel like I shouldn’t have been. Went again today and got the same drink hoping it was just an off day for them. Same thing again. I don’t like wasting but I only drank half and dumped it this time. They also take a bit more time here than other locations which is surprising considering everything looked rushed. Went to the location on Touhy and McCormick and they made it perfectly without me having to ask for extra or anything.
In summary: -Slow service -Sloppy/rushed items -Employees don’t care about customer...
