It usually takes 5 to 10 years for a fried chicken cook to completely perfect their technique. It's going to take that long for the cook at this place to master their technique. Fried chicken is a craft that only very few people are able to master, and right now, the cook here is in the beginning stages. I don't foresee this staying in biz for more than a couple of years at most. If you want properly made broasted chicken, your best bet is going to the long-established local Nano's pizza
If it was made completely fresh it will probably be five stars. My order was close to $20 for four pieces out the door. This is not really affordable for me to keep coming back. 4 pieces should be about $12.99, and did not seem like it was dropped fresh. This is supposed to be broasted and therefore less oily, but there was a ton of more oil, and the batter was darker, hard, and slightly burnt. It looked and tasted like it was fried before, sat for awhile, then re-fried, and not dropped fresh from scratch.
To the 22% of you who are sensitive to scent beads chemicals : if you breathe the air inside this restaurant, you will get shoulder and eye muscle cramping, jitteriness and uncoordination from Downy Unstopables scent beads from some of the employees' clothing. Even if it has been months since they used Downy/Gain scent beads, it will contaminate the indoor air for a long time. Itchiness, muscle incordination, from scent beads inside this restaurant. There is no actual scent; just a lot of muscle pulling &...
Read moreExtremely overpriced in my honest opinion. Very small and stingy portion sizes for the price. The food was mediocre. However, I will admit, the fried chicken/ broast was amazing! It's the only reason I'm being so generous with my rating. The rice bowl (chicken and gyro mix) was a pretty small portion size for the price point, it included veggies that don't go with chicken and rice at all. Green olives and shredded carrots?? The gyro in it was great not gonna lie. Chicken on the other hand, very dry, as well as the rice that it was served with. No sauce on top or anything (they did give some on the side but didn't help with the dryness). It felt like all things were just thrown in there to make something out of it. The coleslaw that came with the fried chicken was the WORST thing out of all. A very distinct, plastic-y and artificial flavor to it. Philly chicken was okay, too saucy but again, very tiny for its price. I genuinely think there's potential here. But given the steep prices, and just adequate flavor and quantity, it'll be a first and last for me. Appreciate the phenomenal...
Read moreI ordered food for my family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. They said broast chicken is their speciality but the chicken I got was extremely oily and not properly fried. Blood oozing out from some pieces. The chicken was supposed to come with coleslaw and buns. When I checked my order there was no buns had to go back and ask for it. The lady lied saying it is in there when it wasn’t. coleslaw for a 10 piece meal was very small. I asked for another one and I told them I did not order a single serving for such a small side to which they refused and said I need to pay extra. All places which are in business like them serve family size sides with family meals but they are cheap. The taste was also very average. I am glad I did not buy extra coleslaw coz it could easily be taken for a dessert. Extremely sweet!!! The burger was also very average. Very dissatisfied and won’t recommend them. No value for money! High price and low quality of food. Don’t bother going to them. There are better places to go if you want to spend your hard earned money. I would give their service 0...
