The food here is served piping hot and is exceptionally delicious. I've tried several things previously, but this time I had the samosas, garlic Naan, and Butter Paneer. The food was so flavorful, rich, and completely satisfying. I got to chat with the new owner who was so friendly and helpful. He's really doing the best he can to make delicious food. He's excited to be able to offer catering now! He also said that, very soon, they plan to offer their own delivery service. He really does care about excellent service to this community. Unfortunately for all the businesses in this mall, the construction on 37 (as of 11/2023) has 141st street completely blocked off, so only Northbound traffic can access the restaurant. Southbound traffic must plan to exit at 146th Street or turn around at 131st to go back north. So plan accordingly when you go. Also, I ate here under previous ownership and under the current ownership and can guarantee that the food is as good or even better. Most of the negative reviews I see are people who are just mad that the new ownership doesn't offer every single dish that the previous ownership did. The previous owners were Indian and the new owner is Pakistani. It makes sense to me that there are going to be some changes to the menu with this change in ownership. If you go to this restaurant knowing that there are a few less Indian choices but there are more varieties of other choices, then you can not possibly be disappointed because the food they produce is absolutely outstanding, regardless of whether it is Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, etc. I've attached a NEW MENU so you know what they offer before making the trip. Please give this place a try under the new ownership with the new dishes. There's no wait at lunchtime. I highly recommend!

Have eaten here three times recently. The first time, we ordered lamb biryani (medium), chicken Tikka marsala (medium) and garlic na'an (pictured). Both dishes were very good. I was especially impressed by the quality of the lamb. It was not tough, and had a wonderful flavor. The Biryani was significantly spicier (hot) than the chicken tikka even though we ordered them at the same spice level. I enjoyed mixing the tikka with the rice from the biryani to bring the spice up to what I normally enjoy. The na'an was great too. We also brought our own water bottles as we read the reviews that the tap water wasn't free. We have never tested this theory, but did ask about the tap water and were told it is not filtered, which is why they offer bottled water (which I believe is not free). I got the chili paneer as take out once. I was sad that it didn't come with rice, but I have rice at home so it wasn't a big deal. Still something to beware of if you aren't getting takeout to eat at home. The last time I got the lamb rogan josh (medium) with plain na'an and it was amazing. The perfect spice level, I wouldn't have wanted it any hotter. I figure they probably don't add as much heat to the tikka marsala as it (and butter chicken) are the two most popular dishes for first time people to get when they try indian food. I will say, they really should add a few speakers and play some music inside the restaurant. It can get awkward when only a few groups are dining in, as it is super easy to hear the conversations at other tables. Not only is it distracting but it makes it harder to engage in conversation. I am looking forward to trying some of their Pakistani dishes.

My husband and I went here late on a Saturday evening and had an amazing experience! We have had Indian cuisine all over the US, and this is now one of our absolute favorite places. The dishes were delicious and he service was fantastic. One word of advice: if you go here and don't get the gobi manchurian (fried cauliflower bites in a deliciously thick sweet/spicy sauce with sliced green onions), then you are making a big mistake. I crave it all the time now. The interior is perfectly fork tender bits of cauliflower florets, and the breading somehow maintains its crispy/crunchiness despite being entirely coated in the sticky/thick velvety sauce. It. Is. Perfection. We also got chicken tikka masala, navratan kurma, and 2 orders of garlic naan. You are going to want to get multiple orders of the naan--it went pretty quickly on our table. We got a mixture of "American medium" and "American spicy" level dishes and it was pretty perfect for us. It was in my upper spice register (I can't handle much heat, but nothing is spicy enough for my husband), but the waiters made sure that I never saw the bottom of my water glass. Much appreciated!! The portions were great--we only took home a few bites that we couldn't bear to leave on our plates. We demolished the rest. We are absolutely going back--particularly for the lunch buffet so I can try everything.

At first, I didn't want to post this review, because I wanted to keep this treasure of a restaurant to myself. But I suppose the word will get out eventually. So go forth, my...
