Elrodeo is my favorite Mexican place in all of fishers. They have two locations and I have been to both of them but I frequent the one on Munday drive very often. I absolutely love the cheese that they use on their tacos. Their queso is absolutely fantastic and you have to order the large when you're with four or more people or else there just isn't enough to go around. Their tacos in general are absolutely fantastic whether you get hard shell or soft shell. I wish they were a few dollars cheaper, 3 tacos is Nearly the price of 6 at taco Bell, but the quality is absolutely amazing and I could probably eat double the amount that I would at any other taco place. Their service is all Spanish / American speaking wait staff and while some of them can be a little hard to understand with their accents, I have been going there for so many years I have no issue understanding anybody there and every waiter or waitress that we've had over the years, which seems to be the same people over and over as the turnover seems to be minimal to none, are absolutely fantastic and very friendly. The pricing in El Rodeo is pretty decent, but like I said with the tacos I wish everything was just a few dollars cheaper. They used to have a huge amount of candy up front when you checked out, for the kids, but that seems to be shrinking. Their actual desserts on the menu or really good but I can never get to them because I always fill up on the food. There have been a few times that I've just dropped in right before closing just to get a dessert. I will continue to go to elrodeo for many years to come it is an absolutely...
Read moreSo this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had here. I called an order to go and the lady who answered was not polite- I should have know better. When we picked up our order the same lady wasn’t even personable or anything. Super short and dismissive.
Later when we got home the food had no flavor and honestly tasted like I had COVID again- aka no flavor, and I called to let them know. It ended up being the same lady- Veronica. She said the only option was to bring back the food and she would refund me. I told her that it was going to be about 15-20 minutes. Essentially 1hr of my time wasted. Drive there, back home, and then again drive there and back home. She didn’t care and said that was the only option.
When I got there I told her how there should’ve been another option or another way to solve it. But making somebody drive back and waste their time was not the best solution. She didn’t care. Instead she went through my bags to look at the food. I showed her the other bag where the food was untouched. She just grabbed it and threw it away. I told her I ordered from there often but I would never order again from them because of how she handles the situation. She said that was the option she had and essentially that it didn’t matter what I thought.
I didn’t want to get into a confrontation with her over something like this. I just told her that me trying to explain a better solution was a waste of time for someone like her who doesn’t care about customers and is just rude and dismissive to them. Needless to say we will never...
Read moreFirst time here and I brought a friend. I only add a star because the server/bartender was pleasant. The margarita story takes too long to address, because the biggest thing was the guacamole! We did return the order of small guacamole that server/bartender originally gave out because it was pre made before they opened. So, he says there is the ‘real’ one where it cost $12 and it’s really big, I’m good with it. BUT I kid you not, it came out in a molcajete, with cut up avocado, topped with cilantro, and pico de gallo. Sounds great, but it wasn’t mashed or mixed up AT ALL! We thought that the server that brought it out was going to prepare it in front of us, but then he walked away and we were stunned! We laughed in disbelief 😆! So me and my friend (BTW I am Puerto Rican and she from Guatemala) in true latina form end up using my fork and spoon for mashing the avocado and mixing the ingredients, & my friend took the salt and pepper on table to try to give it some seasoning! I did also asked for some needed limes and I squeezed it in as well. We ate some, but I decided to take the rest to go so I can add some seasoning to it. The entrées most definitely could’ve used more seasoning too. I don’t think I will come back. (The appetizer guacamole and entrees came out together). We did enjoy the laughs though ☺️ I also went home and made fresh margaritas with freshly squeezed lime juce, top shelf tequila, agave syrup, and a freshly squeezed orange, Pic of what I MADE below. 😆 The guacamole was delish after I added...
