I don't even know where to Strat this review. Maybe at the beginning... I reached out to Steve to see if he would entertain the idea of hosting a 40th for my wife on a Saturday night, as I know they typically do not do private events on "open" nights. To my surprise he said absolutely! We worked together over the coming months to come up with a full plan from food to wine to where the guitarist would call home for the event. The night finally came and WOW, I can’t even describe how impeccable everything went. The room was setup perfectly for 49 people to be able to eat, sit and converse with plenty of space. The food got tons of compliments from all my guests alongside how wonderful the atmosphere was with that fabulous chandelier. The team was nothing short of perfection, not one guest wanted for anything as they were immediately taken cared of. If you have never been, you owe it to yourself to stop in and see the place and sit and have some of their amazing food and wine/beer. Coastal Wine Market... how I love thee. Let me count the ways. (heart swoon) Seriously, the only thing that could make this better in my book would be to add live music or jazz music. Heaven! The food here is amazing. You simply MUST try the Coastal Comfort Cheesesteak! There are just no words to appropriately describe the deliciousness of this sandwich, but I’m gonna try. The sliced ribeye is delicious and pairs beautifully with the bourbon zinfandel ju. The three cheese sauce is a completely decadent cheesy experience that puts this sandwich over the top. And the bread from The French Pantry is the perfect vehicle for this monster of a sandwich. We also had the pork quesadilla. While it was delicious in its own right, the cheesesteak stole the show! The staff is always warm, welcoming and friendly. They make you feel like you’re visiting an old friend who just happens to have amazing food and fantastic wine. The wine! How could I forget the wine? The wine selection is very nice, and the staff is very knowledgeable and eager to explain each one. My wife and I had the worst experience at Coastal Wine last night. We were happy to see the filet was still on the menu because we had a perfect medium rare served the week before. This one also ordered medium rare was delivered well done. The very kind waitress totally agreed and took it back to prepare another one. Then the silver haired manager came out to school my wife and I on his 20 years at Ruth Chris and the fact that we need to work towards the middle to get to the medium rare portion of the filet. Even Ruth Chris wouldn't buy that excuse. I simply shared with the manager on duty 10/30/2021 at 7pm that he wasn't listening to us and that we would like the filet prepared just like they had done a week before. With that he angrily threw his hands up in the air and stormed off. Even the customers sitting near us were appalled with how we were treated.
