The Kookaburra Nocatee — Restaurant in Nocatee

I absolutely love this place! Lattes are fantastic and the selection of flavors is really fun. My favorites are coconut, lavender, and the honey badger. The something pumpkin latte (available in the fall) is also excellent and really tastes like pumpkin. The pumpkin donut (always available) is also a favorite— it’s a vegan “healthy” type pastry that isn’t particularly donut-like but I just love it! The Aussie pies are delicious and big enough to share or be a hearty breakfast for one. I don’t know what it is about the atmosphere, but this is the only coffee house around where I can get work done. I appreciate that it’s not freezing cold inside. The baristas are always super sweet...

We ordered a rose water chai latte and an Aussie. Both were iced and completely watered down. The chai literally just tasted like a cup of iced clove flavored water. Nothing chai or rose water about it. It was so bad that we just threw it away. The Clove flavor was so strong and lingering that my partner could still taste it for at least 10 minutes after a sip. I don’t know if this is standard or not, but my drink was made twice (they gave me the wrong size initially) and still undrinkable. The other drink was ok, but would have been a Complete disappointment if my partner had not already had two cups of drip coffee elsewhere...

Finally found another new favorite coffee shop in Jax! I checked Yelp for coffee shops near us and The Kookaburra just popped out! Location is definitely very convenient!

First of all, we almost missed them lol. The signage is only in the front but the parking is on the side. Anyways, place is really nice. Aside from coffee, they also have pastries and pies!
