IHOP — Restaurant in Nogales

Normally I wouldn't write anything about a dinner or fast food joint but every now and then I am pleasantly surprised by something that I have to say something.

I've had this order (Anytime Tacos) three times now. As always I look for consistency and for these tacos it's there. I would usually get one of their omelets but when I saw this on the menu I had to try it.

Your choice of either hash browns, fries, onion rings or pancakes to go with the anytime tacos.

I would expect this somewhere else and not at IHOP. The eggs are always delicious, soft, cooked perfectly, the onions and bell peppers actually taste like onions and bell peppers. Not over cooked with the right amount of bite to them. And the shredded meat is phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and seasoned right. The kicker is the roasted salsa you can add to it. If they sold that sauce I would buy it to use at home. The synergy of how all the flavors come together and how it all held up in a flour tortilla is amazing. This is my new go to meal every time we go to IHOP. I got the onion rings and they were a treat. Golden and crunchy.

I use to take my kids to Ihop every other week in Utah and we loved it. I moved to Nogales and took my daughter to this Ihop. This was weirdest experience, waitress was rude, very short with us and unattending to us. That wasn't weird I just thought maybe she is having a rough day. What was weird is that the ppl sitting in front an back of us got better service by the same waitress and these ppl came after us. She greeted them asked them how their day was going and would check in to see if every thing was ok. They were even served before us. I don't know if our waitress didnt like the way my 13 yo daughter and I look cause I dont know why she treat us different. My daughter even noticed. As rude as this lady was the food...

Seated fast, which was great but then took 15 minutes before a waitress even came over to help us after my girlfriend asked. Diner wasn't busy and waitresses were cleaning tables almost ignoring us, never asked if we had been taken care of. One came and got our drinks which never got refilled, another brought the food which we were never checked on for anything after that. The wall had food smeared on it next to us. Never got a bill so had to go up and wait to cash out. It was noon and when we got inside I saw approximately 7 tables with people at them and at least 6 waitresses with two seating cleaning.
