Caracu Latin Steakhouse — Restaurant in Nogales

For an establishment advertised as a steakhouse, I found myself thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I had ordered the ribeye steak medium with potatoes and a salad. The first time I received my steak it was cooked bleu (raw further than rare) and had to return it for further cooking. However, the second time I received the steak rare. Finally on a third attempt majority of the steak was cooked to medium with some portions still medium rare. To make matters worse, by the time they cooked the steak somewhat to medium, they retained the same plate with the potatoes and salad. As a result, the potatoes were cold and the salad lukewarm which effectively made the meal thoroughly lackluster. Had great dinner all by myself after hard work in Nogales, Mexico. My coworker mentioned this place so I finally madr it today.

It was a good decision - food was great and the owner (I believe) was a real gentleman. Steak was well cooked and the sides were not heavy at all. Especially the sauces - who needs steak sauce. Speaking of the sauce, the entrée bread and whatever the thing were fantastic. Should've asked what it is..

But anyway, I still can't believe that I had these all by myself, but if I come to Nogales again, I'm definitely going there again.

I was visiting family in Patagonia, and we drove to Nogales for dinner. My brother had been there before, on his birthday, and raved about this place. Caracu is an absolute hidden gem in Nogales. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I highly recommend it. We got seated right away, the atmosphere and ambience were great. Excellent menu and drink menu. Our server was Amy and she was top-notch. This girl deserves a raise. She went out of her way to be gracious & friendly and provided us with excellent service.
