We were pleased with the selection of food and large portions.
You're spoiled for choice looking at the menu to the point it can get overwhelming. It reminded me a bit of The Cheesecake Factory. There's breakfast, burgers, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, salads, sandwiches, and drinks.
Then when the food came to our table, I realized we probably could've ordered one plate and shared it.
My sister ordered nachos and was given a whole cookie sheet of them covered in beef, guacamole, and sour cream.
I ordered from their Wok section, which included a bowl of egg drop soup and a choice of white or fried rice.
Even the take home containers are bigger than normal.
The restaurant itself is spacious and clean.
We were seated at a booth in what I think is their family section. It's quieter and when we were there, it mainly consisted of women and a dad and his 2 daughters.
The middle part of the restaurant has a bar and the area surrounding it is where mostly men were hanging out watching the TVs (I counted around 30 TV screens!) and placing bets.
I had no clue what The Derby Room was about until I went to the restroom and saw a couple of men in front of a digital betting kiosk. If not for that, I would've thought it was just any other sports bar since on the TV it seemed like all the sports were on: horse racing, golf, baseball.
All and all, whether you're a family and just want to eat (I remember even seeing coloring pages and Crayons at the front desk) or a serious sports better, I think there's a little bit of something for...

We came there for a late lunch/early dinner and the wait was 1 hour! The menu is diverse as it's patrons. From American (read burgers) to Asian fare (they even server pho!!)
My daughter got the fettuccine Alfredo, wide got the Italian torpedo and I ordered the 16 oz probe rib.
My daughter is a fettuccine already expert and she said it was ok. The sauce was creamy but lacked a bit of seasoning but I suppose you can adjust to your liking.
Wife's torpedo was on point serving size I feel was perfect and it was picked full of deli meats.
My prime rib was good, I ordered medium rare but due to it's popularity I ended getting it on a bit more of a medium. I did have to add salt to the aus jus. The meat or rather the cut was great. Just had to add a dash of salt. (note: I compare my prime rib to Houston's so if you've had their PR you'll know what I'm talking about).
The pricing is perfect IMO my PR was only $16 so you cannot complain. I've had PR at wood ranch and BJ's and this place is a lot better.
Next time I'm going to try the 1/2# burgers that they have listed it just looked amazing.
Oh did you know you can watch and make bets for the house racing that's on the TV? Well you can and it gets really rowdy when people are rooting for their horse.
All in all its a fun place staff is really pleasant and service was prompt.
Definitely come give this...
Read moreAs a hospitality professional of 25 years, I’ve never had an experience that even paralleled the complete absence of professionalism, cleanliness and standard of this space. We were “greeted” by a young woman who clearly lacked proficiency in standard courtesy, and seated us at the table closest to the host stand despite MANY open tables in the main dining area. The benefit of this was to listen to multiple critiques and even boasting about providing inadequate and discourteous service to other guests. Service staff sitting in the waiting area in full guest view to mope until she was recognized and consoled. An abhorrent cocktail which we were criticized for and told that our server would have brought ingredients for when we courteously asked for a replacement (would she have delivered a shaker so we could properly mix it as well?). From start to finish, by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had the displeasure of embarking upon. Word to the establishments: we all have bad days…that’s why hosts have the option to seat at their discretion. Had we not been within earshot, we could have salvaged this...
