El Ceibeño Restaurante — Restaurant in Norcross

I come this place ocasionally, some dishes are great like the "Pollo con tajadas" (fried chicken over fried sliced green banana) is one of my favorites but this last time my wife got baleadas (flour tortilla with beans and grounded cheese) it disappointed us becuase the beans were so watery and it was like spread over the tortilla, the funny part is that Honduran friends said that in Honduras the baleadas bought in eatery places they just spread the refried beans trying to save it so it last for more customers, why? I don't know, but here in USA beans are so cheap that you don't have to do that specially if you are selling food, the well served the more customers. When my wife makes at home or my wife's friend makes baleadas they serve it very well so you enjoy the tortilla with beans. This place disappointed us so bad, that means no more baleadas in this place, I give 3 stars becuase what I like, customer service is so so, waitress must be trained, yes they must be trained, and food takes so loong. Most Honduran give this place 5 star becuase is one of the very few in the town in they like their own food, the other Honduran has my review as well, El paraíso is called. My wife and a lot of my Honduran friends don't like pretty much this place, they said they prefer to make it at home. If you go this place order Pollo con tajadas or pastelitos (fried stuffed flour tortilla with ground beef) so 3 stars until they improve customer service, time to cook and serving dishes, price are some kind of expensive for mojarra, $16? Other places cost $12 larger than what they serve in here, if you order it make sure you ask for...

We came in today and placed our orders. Out of the 3 items we ordered one came to our table. The rude waitress never came by our table after that. We had chase her to ask about the rest of the food about 40 mins after placing the order. She finally tells us that one order was coming up and that the other was going to take longer. What she did was not put in the food orders until we had to flag her down to find out what was going on. On top of that we order tajadas which on their menu said $2.50 when we placed the order we asked her was it green or like plantains and she told us either one so we ordered it. When we got our ticket because we didn't want to another 30 mins to eat and me being pregnant doesnt help, she charged us for Yuca Frita. Needless to say when my husband approached her she was very disrespectful and the manager didn't know...

Visito el restaurante cada vez que ando cerca ya que me encanta la comida, lamentablemente el día de hoy fui y la atención por una mesera fue pésima, desconozco su nombre, pero una breve descripción; es de pelo rizado, colocho oscuro, altura promedio. Cuando llegué, porté mi bote con agua en una botella transparente ya que por asuntos de salud prefiero no tomar agua filtrada. Aún así, el agua era visible, no tenía soda o algún color sospechoso. La mesera de una forma despota en lugar de saludar o de preguntarme en qué me ayudaba, solo se refirió hacia a mi como que yo estaba portando una bebida alcoholica en mi agua, cuando claramente el alcohol se ve muy distinto del agua. Eso me hizo pensar que su servicio iba ser pésimo al igual que su mal bienvenida, por lo que decidí pedir mi comida para llevar. Me senté un rato a probar el pollo antes de irme por si se me antojaba comprar algo más, y claramente me antojo llevar un aderezo extra, en ese momento me atendió la mesera proveniente de Progreso Yoro, altura baja, piel morena, pero con una actitud neutra me dijo que era $1 extra por aderezo extra, le dije que no tenía efectivo, pero yo estaba buscando en mi cartera, en ese mismo momento la mesera del inicio (pelo rizado) se acercó al frente, y me dijo que le pusiera el $1 dolar en la propina y que así ella me daba el aderezo. A lo que me negué, pues yo ya estaba buscando efectivo en mi cartera, pero en lo que yo seguí buscando, la muchacha en lugar de quedarse callada y esperar, me hizo un comentario fuera de lugar. Después de compré un pollo con tajadas y una coca cola (A pesar del mal servicio que recibí al inicio) me seguía atacando esta mujer, y me dijo que para la próxima vez que fuera si pedía para llevar que no tenía derecho de sentarme en el local (Cuando el local estaba totalmente vacío, y ni siquiera causé ninguna molestia ni dejé sucio). Quizás ella tenga razón pero las palabras que utilizo no fueron las correctas. Me sentí que yo estaba pidiendo en lugar de estar comprando en este lugar, por la actitud tan malcriada de esa señorita. Yo iba a comprar unas baleadas también y otro pollo para llevar pero después de la mala actitud de esta mujer, preferí mejor irme.
