I waited in the Drive-Thru for 17 minutes before I got to place my order, then when I did get to place my order the girl had no idea how to take an actual order. And then when I finally made it to the window I sat there for 10 minutes, which was 27 minutes to little then the manager walked over to the window, and said you're going to have to pull over somewhere it's time for shift change very rudely. So I pulled over so there another 10 minutes, which made 47 minutes of waiting for 5 pieces of fish, so I got out of my car with my wheelchair and rolled inside which they were in there dancing listening to loud profane music, that was full of curse words all the young girls were dancing around not doing their work playing on their cell phone, talking on their cell phones, music up so loud they could barely hear me. Then I asked the manager if I could please get my five pieces of fish, and the lady in the back proceeded to say it's cooking in a very rude manner and then she just slung the fish into the box and slung it at the young girl that was dancing on the other side of the counter. And when she put it in the bag and gave it to me I open the bag and looked at the fish and it was literally about the size of my finger, it was not the regular fish up to Captain D's normal great fish, it was that so hard and I was so aggravated after waiting all that time that I just went ahead and took my food and drove on home which was a two-hour drive, and I started eating it as soon as I left and I thought it was going to be hot and fresh fish, much to my dismay it was so hard that I actually cracked a tooth! But they definitely need new managers new employees a whole new atmosphere, basically a whole new staff in that store. I'll favor Captain D's it is my favorite fish restaurant, seafood restaurant that's why I drive 2 hours one way just to get Captain D's fish, and I was so disappointed I will never go back to the Captain D's in Norfolk ever...
Read moreI come to this place very often but this last experience for me was TERRIBLE… First off I get to the window and the lady doesn’t even know what order she is on… I then get my order and am missing shrimp… When I came back the first time a sweet lady with locs assisted me and provided me my missing items… So I get home I eat three shrimp and I tearing the fish up almost finished and there is hair in my food… So I call and talk to the manager didn’t get her name, she couldn’t understand how the hair would’ve gotten in the food, well neither do I. She asked if I wanted a refund or remake ok cool my stomach is turned bc there is hair in my food so I’ll just take a refund this time but I’ll be back bc this hasn’t happened here before and I understand things happen bc I’m also a manager. So I get to the store and the manager comes to help and I show her the box she then states she doesn’t know how the hair would get in the box and I’m like well it definitely ain’t mine and my hair is wrapped up... She takes it and goes to the back and starts talking oh she wants a refund and it almost gone.. I don’t know if she was aware that she could be heard in the dining area but she was… I didn’t come in rude and I just want what I’m paying for bc it is my funds being spent. So ig she sends a picture to her boss who decided that I couldn’t get a refund but a remake. Now to come in this establishment and feel like the manager is trying to imply that I put the hair in the food for one was very insulting. There even was another customer that came over and started talking to me about how ridiculous the whole situation was bc he could hear everything too… Not everyone is out here trying to get over. Read moreWe dined in which was not so bad at first. I came in with my mother, daughter, son and myself. We were overcharged for our meal but I just let it go and didn't say anything. Then I got a Large drink and so I filled up my cup. The Dr Pepper was bad and so I tried Coke. It was even worse and I spit it back into my cup because I couldn't swallow it. Then I took a closer look and there was mold and mildew all around the cover where the ice falls into your cup. I guarantee the taste is because of how gross their machines are full of mold and need to be cleaned. I simply asked for just my drink to be refunded and it took 4 people to figure out how to do this. Also they seemed to think I was picky because I am pregnant. My mother also agreed she couldn't drink anything from there because of the taste! I didn't tell them about the mold because I just wanted to get out of there. The food was not very good at all and I spent too much money on the little food I ordered. Plus when you don't have a drink to go with your food it makes the experience quite awful.
