Famous Uncle Al's Hotdogs — Restaurant in Norfolk

Uncle Al’s on N. Military highway has the Best Customer Service any one could ask of them, I just got off of work and was trying to find a uncle Al’s Close to me Right at 5:00 when all of them close…. Smh…. Stupid of me, I know. Called two that I was 5 minutes away from and they wouldn’t take my order, I get it they want to go home. I would too. Decided to give it a shot and call Uncle Al’s on N. Military highway and they picked up, asked right away what would I like to order. I asked what time they closed and he started they were already but he would take my order. Told him what I wanted ( a hot dog with fries) and told him I was 15 minutes away and would it still be okay he said “ Of Course! It’s No Problem! And that he would EVEN WAIT 10 minutes to Drop my fries! What place nowadays has that kind of Customer Service?! Uncle Al’s on N. Military Highway Does! And he even gave me an Extra Hot Dog on the House!?! Don’t know if he is the owner or not but if not that man Deserves A Raise 100% ! Thank you Sir for a Truly Great Experience that I assure you you cannot get out from 9/10...

A little cramped on the inside and a bit small, but overall the food is fantastic. Portions on side items are a bit skimpy. Wish they gave more.

The prices are more on the low side and you get to watch them prepare the food. Staff is somewhat friendly, but always busy, so they do not talk to you much. This is great if you prefer to be left alone.

They have 3 TVs always playing a variety of different things. Surprisingly, the worst thing I've had so far there was a hot dog. It sat for too long before being given to me, making the bun soggy and it fell apart. The bun was completely soaked through and would not stay together. 2nd is the hamburgers, they are only done well with no pink. Which is not personally to my preference, due to me liking them medium rare.

The best things there are the sandwiches, home fries, and hotdogs that do not grow soggy due to excessive amounts of sauce. Get something light on sauce or a sandwich and you'll really...

Came in today after hearing alot of good reviews but my order was so horrible , i got a hot dog , burger and fries the burger was horrible and they gave me a old patty that was just sitting on the grill and it taste like old wet dog aka cheap meat the hot dog was okay didnt like the snap to it and i domt think it was beef like i was told and the fries were the best thing but could have been crispy as well i wanted to go get a refund but just said forget it and the customer service was horrible , the girl behind the counter thought it was omay for her daughter to come by the grill n where the food is being prepared didnt like that all im not returning unless a funn restoration bc the soda machine is nasty n taste like nasty old soda and its just depressing definitely for old ppl with...
