Visited this location for lunch 9/26/12.- arrived around 11:45am - location was NOT busy.- honestly I had a meeting at 130 and had some time to kill, so I was not stressed over time.
After being seated and waiting 10 minutes (without being greeted) I went to the bathroom to wash my hands (I was gone for 2 minutes)- when I returned to the table, I found that it had been cleared.
I took my seat again, smiled at servers as they walked by- I was greeted by someone (finally) and she took my drink order- she did inform me that she was not my server.
About 5 minutes later, MY server brings my drink to me, she apologized for my wait. (I appreciated that she noted that).
I placed my order- Chicken BLT.
30 minutes pass, and my server stops at my table to inform me that the Cook had prepared the wrong sandwich- she had made a Buffalo chicken instaead- but was making mine "on the fly" and it should be right out. She refilled my drink and moved on to other guests.
I do need to mention that the restaurant is still NOT busy.- by now it was around 1230.
15 more minutes pass, my food finally arrives. (I thought the Chicken BLT was grilled- it was not... which was my fault for not reading that detail.) My phone rang, and it was a client so I had to take the call - thought I would be on my way by this point.
While on the phone I look at my lunch, the bun actually had buffalo sauce on it, the chicken was WAY over cooked- and fries had been sitting for sometime. I took a bite of the Chicken sandwich, difficult to cut into- and I bit into a piece of fat/gristle- I politely put it into my napkin and pick at my fries.... I am still on the call still when the sever and manager stop by- so I am unable to say anything.
I finish my call and do not eat anymore of my sandwich and I am also not checked on again by either the manager or my server- My plate is still completely full... I pushed the bun to the side since it had the buffalo sauce on it... and I had not had anymore of the chicken and there were still fries on the plate- at this point I was over it. My server comes over and asks if I am finished with my plate -which is still full. I say yes. She returns with my check- nothing had been comp’d - even after everything- I guess that it is normal at this location for people to leave their plates un-touched?
I paid $12 for lunch - and left a cash tip- ($5)
I come from the service industry- worked for a competing chain through college so I "get it" but the over- all experience was so negative that I will never return to a Ruby Tuesday and Highly recommend staying away...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to eat here on a rainy night after a long trip out of town. We were tired didn’t want to make dinner or do dishes. There was a deal for buy one get 1/2 off for the entrées. I rarely go to Ruby Tuesdays, and was excited to try something new. However, my experience left a lot to be desired.
I tried to create the order online, but was unable to add notes for special requests. My wife has a dairy allergy and wanted the guacamole smash burger without cheese. Since I was unable to write in this request online, I had to call in the order. An employee picked up the phone promptly, was friendly, and took my order enthusiastically. I expressed to the employee taking my order that my wife has a dairy allergy and that omitting the cheese is very important and she acknowledged my request.
I picked up my order, took it home, and to my dismay my wife’s burger didn’t have bacon as advertised but was full of melted cheese. She was unable to eat her meal and I ended up having to go to another restaurant to get her something she could eat. I called back to inform them about our incorrect order and the server swore she checked to make sure there was no cheese on her burger. I requested to speak to the manager, Bill and he listened to my request, acknowledged and apologized for the mistake, and after gathering some information offered me a full refund. However, 7 business days later my card was still not refunded. I came back in person, spoke to Bill again regarding my refund and was able to get my money back on the spot.
I don’t have any serious allergies so I was able to eat my Smashburger and fries which were satisfactory. However if anyone in your party has dietary restrictions it’s best to double check the food yourself to ensure...
Read moreMy sisters and I came here for lunch on a blistering Thurday in January. It was not to⁰ busy so we were seated immediately. We were asked if we wanted a table or a booth and we chose a booth.. The booth and seats were clean. Our waitress was named Shonda and she immediately took our drink order. Shonda brought our drinks back in 3 minutes and then took our order. All three of us ordered their lunch special which consists of a smash burger, fries or tots, and the unlimited salad bar for 8.99. Great deal...or so we thought. The salad bar was clean and stocked. Everything looked fresh and was delicious. The burgers however were a different story. The burgers were cold, the cheese never melted, and the lettuce wet, frozen, and slimy. When I bit into the burger, the lettuce actually made a crunching sound from the ice on the lettuce. Everyone's burger was like that. The actual burger was dry and had absolutely no flavor. And it definitely was not a smash burger. My fries were cold, but my sister's tots were hot and delicious. Our waitress Shonda was wonderful. She brought us our drink refills in a timely manner and was just very attentive. She had a great personality! When she heard about our burgers she immediately called her manager over to talk to us. The manager offered to make us new burgers and we asked for them To Go. I heard that the manager went to the kitchen herself to make the, which I thought was nice. When Shonda brought us our burgers to go, we saw that the manager gave us fresh fries and tots as well. The biggest take away I have is mistakes happen and it won't stop me from going back. But most importantly, Ruby Tuesdays need to change their hamburgers. These are the worst burgers I have...
