We visited the Norfolk Military Highway establishment. It was highly disappointing. The only thing acceptable was the iced coffee. And that was after they forgot to make the second drink despite them being identical. Now, let's talk about the unacceptable. First, the young lady at the counter (who was JUST hired into this position, so couldn't possibly be burnt out) was apathetic and listless. I asked her to speak up several times as I asked her about the drink options. She seemed disinterested in working there. Next is the leak in the doorway. Yes, leaks happen, but how about a sign to let people know that the door is locked and to go around? I watched numerous people simply leave and forfeit their purchases. The ones who went around to the other door had to overcome the dangerous obstacles of wooden pallets in the walkway! I noticed that there were 9 people behind the counter with ZERO customers in line, yet all trash cans were overflowing, to include the one outside. Disgusting. Also disgusting were the bathrooms. With that many people standing around when the line dissipated, why didn't anyone tend to the janitorial aspects of the business? They weren't that busy. Also odd was the presence of a girl younger than 12 or so behind the counter. As for the food, who knows? I can't rate it properly as they were out of ALL donuts/pastries. The shelves were bare, and it was only 2 p.m. They have been open for a week, so maybe that's why, but planning and preparation were...
Read moreWe waited 15 minutes to receive our single order of just 10 timbits (and only one flavor) and had to go to the counter and ask two different employees where our order was before they even started working on it. in the meantime, multiple orders, both later orders and more complicated orders, were fulfilled as they seemingly forgot about our simple order. only after receiving our box of timbits from the unfriendly staff and driving away, we realized we didn’t even get the right order and only received 9 of the 10 timbits. highly recommend any other competitor in the area (krispy kreme, dunkin, etc.).
EDIT: to make things worse, the below contact us link doesn't even work. I followed the on-screen instructions, and submitted my survey code from my receipt to get an error message that told me to try again. Upon trying to resubmit the survey code, I get another error message saying the code has already been used. I'd appreciate the opportunity for Tim Hortons to make things right but they dont seem to want to.
Additionally, I had a friend who visited this location today and by noon they were all out of donuts and was told tough luck. How can you be out of the primary product that you provide and then just not do anything about it? Terrible attitude...
