Updated review: Ordered a veggie quesadilla. The young lady who prepared my order said it was buy one get one free due to today (6/8/25) being BFF Day. I was told it was good for all entrées. So I decided to get two quesadillas instead for the price of one. I get to the register and I am charged for two. I told the person at the register, that the lady who prepared my order said it was BOGO. The person at the register said it was only good for bowls and burritos. I was very disappointed and felt lied to. I ended up getting one quesadilla. While I was eating my order, a person ordered two bowls under the impression that it was BOGO and when he got to the register, he was charged for two and being told the BFF Day promotion was only good for burritos. He ended up getting one bowl instead. What a shitty way to treat customers, by trying to cheat them out of money with a fake promotion.
Besides all that, Moe's has gone down hill. They raise their prices, but they lower the quality of their food and service. The quesadilla was okay, but it was all white Mexican cheese with no more cheddar mixed in. The salsas and sauces are all watered down as well as being tasteless. All the meats (steak and chicken) are microwaved, not grilled anymore. If you get a veggie entrée, you will be charged extra for guacamole. Bacon is extra too. The chips have changed too-instead of making them fresh at the restaurant, the chips now come out of a bag. They taste like stale cardboard. Also your order gets thrown in a bag (no more containers for quesadillas) whether it's here or to go. No more trays. The latest remodel is devoid of color, the place looks more like a hospital waiting room.
I miss the Moe's of the early 2000s. The Moe's of the 2020s are downright garbage. I will never set foot in a Moe's again. I hope this location along with the whole chain goes under and closes for good one day.
Whenever I am here, I have to beg for more portions. I mean they put only a half spoonful of cheese, salsa, guacamole, etc. If you ask for more, you get a dirty look. I also sense passive aggressiveness from the staff. My burrito was soggy and fell apart. Not worth $16.30. The seats were dirty, worn, and falling apart (a remodel and new furniture is badly needed). The 21st Street and Downtown locations are...
Read moreIt was my first visit to this Moe’s location in about 3 years, and now I remember why I stopped going. Unfortunately, not much has changed — if anything, things have gotten worse.
I ordered a steak bowl and was shocked by how little food I received. The steak portion was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a bowl. I asked for queso, and the employee literally gave me such a pathetic amount. Every topping added to the bowl felt skimpy and disappointing. Also, know that there were upcharges for both the steak and queso.
When I expressed how frustrated I was, the employee just stared at me with no concern or attempt to address the issue. She could’ve at least notified a manager to speak with me, but she didn’t. I briefly spoke with the assistant manager when I was paying, but the experience was already ruined by then.
I understand inflation is real, but you can’t raise prices and shrink portions at the same time. It felt like I got scammed.
Save your money — just go across the street to Chipotle. Better food, better service, and better portions for the same price.
Update 8/6/25 Thanks for the copy and paste response. Unfortunately, it doesn’t address the actual issue I raised. I’d appreciate a real answer to the concern...
Read moreWe visited Moe’s and had one of the worst experiences we’ve ever encountered. It’s clear that their employees are in desperate need of retraining. In a time when businesses are struggling to stay open, losing customers due to poor service is damaging. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning.
The portion sizes were not worth the money. One employee scooped the meat and other ingredients onto the serving spoon but then shook most of it off, leaving us with less than what should have been served. To make matters worse, they charge extra for meat that should have already been included in the original portion. The hot sauces were so watered down like water with food coloring it's crazy.
The restaurant was unprepared, with items not ready, and the cashier did not wash her hands. She appeared confused, kept making mistakes, and repeatedly asked us to hold on while she tried to ring up our order.
The manager also needs to be trained on how to interact with customers and communicate with staff professionally, especially in front of patrons. This experience was extremely disappointing, and we hope improvements are made for the sake of...
