Pelican's SnoBalls — Restaurant in Norfolk

This has always been my go-to spot for snowballs. My last few visits were not so great, so I took a break for a few months and decided to grab a snowball earlier this evening. We were the only car in the drive thru, but there were two teenagers at the walk-up. You could clearly tell the employee was friends with them because he was laughing and joking along with them. I asked for two Kiddies, one with light syrup. My last three visits, I asked for light syrup and either got extra syrup on both or light on both. My order is usually incorrect when I come to this location, but I let it slide. Today I ordered only one with light syrup, but the employee was so fascinated with his friends that he gave me extra syrup when it should've been light. When he gave me my other snowball, it looked like it was missing a chunk off the side. I didn't wanna make a fuss, so I parked and started eating the snowball. Once I made it halfway through, I noticed two ants floating in my cup. I immediately lost my appetite. My wife (who ordered light syrup and was given extra syrup) couldn't even enjoy her snowball because it was sooo sweet. I really didn't wanna leave a review, but it seems like every time I visit this location lately, my order isn't right or it tastes funny. There's a lot of younger ppl who work there, and it definitely shows. Back in the day, this used to be the #1 spot to frequent. Sadly, I doubt...

Came here for the first time today, too many flavors to chose from! I plan on coming back trying each one lol. Service was fast. The only thing I had a problem with was the customer service. When I pulled up to the window, a younger Caucasian female with two braids came to the window and was very rude. I said hello she asked what would you like to order I told her a regular tigers blood and my boyfriend told her he wanted a strawberry lemonade. When she handed me the orders she said here is your strawberry. I asked her if it was strawberry lemonade she said no you said strawberry. We both then said no he said strawberry lemonade. She took the drink back with a attitude, came back shorty handed me the correct order said have a nice day then closed the window. Besides the little girl everything...

This was my favorite place to come to. I'd even take a taxi to get here. At that time my snowballs were done correct, then they would give me my orders with hardly any syrup at all...so I stopped coming. The owner is phenomenal. I'd even created my own flavor...shark attack backwards lol. I just hope the new crew he hires this time around does the order correct. An avalanche is a pretty big snowball and has to have the right amount of syrup. Getting home to realize that the middle and bottom of my snowball was...just snow was upsetting as I spend a nice amount of money there. The drawring that pulled me away was when my son's kiddie snowball was just snow in the middle and bottom. This place is wonderful...other than the several...
