Stop eating here! Customer Service is not difficult I walked in to pick up an order. I do doordash every now and then. No one said Hello or how can I help you. The person at the front was wiping down the tablet screen at the counter. I said I have a pick up. She said what is the name & let me see your phone while holding her hand out as if I am supposed to give her my phone. The way she asked it is very clear she does this a-lot. I said no you cannot touch my phone. She made a smart remark & said that she wasn’t asking for my phone when clearly she was. Her hands were very nasty and dirty. She did not wash her hands before she grabbed the bag to hand me the food. The dirty cloth she was using to wipe down the screen has germs on it & so does her hands. She should have had someone else grab the food or washed her hands. I’ve worked in restaurants plenty of times and took the class on food handling & serve safe procedures. This is disgusting. I have a picture of her going right back to clean the screen and never washing her hands. Her attitude, lack of customer service and professionalism is why small businesses cannot stay in business. This is unacceptable...

I use work for Pollards a couple years ago, for almost 5 years until I went to work for a Law Firm and before all of that my family would always order from here for our family meals or for catering. The store Manager Inez is a wonderful and sweet Lady that has been working there for 40 plus years and will make sure that her customers are beyond taken care of and are very pleased with their visit. The food is always fresh and very very good. The prices are fair and for each day of the week they have a meal on special for that day. It's definitely a great place to bring the family for a good southern meal. My personal favorite is the fried Livers and Gizzards, they're so good my 9 year old will literally get the Gizzards every time we go there. They also do small to very large catering orders that are beutiful. They will also do a 10% Military, Police, and I believe Fire and Rescue discount when you show your "Service" ID or "Badge". If I could give a rating for taste and give a rating for restaurant condition, the average would be 3-stars. Let's talk about the restaurant, first, because I always believe you should end on a high note.

The restaurant is very outdated and is in desperate need of an upgrade. Floors were very sticky and the walls were dirty. The air conditioning unit might have been as old as the building because it did not cool the building down very much at all. However, in their defense, it was almost a 100ﾟ yesterday. There was a temperature difference and it was cooler toward the restaurant side versus where you order your food. Noticeably, there were more flies than diners.

Now, let's talk food. We ordered an 8-piece meal with green beans, potato salad, and mac-n-cheese. The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy. The green beans were delicious and they had these things called "puffs." The puffs were out of bounds crazy good. Deep fried roll deliciousness with drizzled honey that are light, airy, and finger licking good!!!
