I am rarely inclined to write a review unless the experience significantly deviates from the norm, and unfortunately, my visit to Tropical Smoothie was indeed an exceptional deviation, though in the wrong direction.
The customer service was egregiously subpar. Employees treated customers as if they were inconveniences rather than valued patrons. The disregard for customers manifested in the manner our food and drinks were served, harshly slammed onto the counter causing them to spill. When customers were left waiting for their orders, staff opted to engage in personal conversations in the back instead of attending to the task at hand.
The incorrect execution of orders further exacerbated the negative experience. Having paid extra for whey protein in my smoothie, I was taken aback when I found it missing from my order. The attention to detail that one expects from a place like Tropical Smoothie was glaringly absent.
The most alarming aspect was the dubious food hygiene standards. Witnessing an employee’s hair and shirt dipping into a smoothie as it was being made was frankly off-putting. Such basic violations of food safety practices raises serious concerns about the overall hygiene of the place.
Overall, my experience at Tropical Smoothie was truly disappointing. The lack of customer service, attention to order details, and the questionable hygiene practices significantly detracted from what should have been a pleasant visit. I am hopeful that this review serves as a wake-up call to the management to rectify these issues promptly. Until then, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreWell what can I say we went here last night the service was amazing, food was great, the staff was friendly and by the time we picked up our food there its was ready to go. However this morning we place an order online, no longer than 1 min goes by and they called to notify us that they had no lettuce. So two meals out of 3 meals had lettuce when we tried to cancel the sandwiches or substitute we were told "we can just cancel the order all together". We decided to keep the food to avoid canceling and waiting the 5-7 business days for the refund. Needless to say the shifts make a big difference. Preperation is everything I understand food places run out of stuff but walmart is walking distance could have simply picked some up or compensated us for the mistake that wasnt made to us. All we asked for was a voucher to compensate the sandwiches for another time. When we recieved the order we recieved half the items and a messed up breakfast burrito. I know accidents happen however there are some people who dont eat pork and asking for no bacon was important to us. Now we have two sandwiches we had to settle for a breakfast burrito that wont be eaten, and missing fruit all for $26. Choose wisely when...
Read moreUnfortunately, this isn’t my first bad experience with this location. The wait time is always incredibly bad. Today I ordered through the app: mango magic with pea protein and the southwest omelet wrap. Besides the wait which I almost expected because of my previous visits, the wrap was just wrong. I get this wrap at many other locations in the area with no problem. Spinach, chicken, cheese, tomatoes, eggs and chipotle sauce. What I received was chicken, cheese and what looks like kale. The disappointment when I got home was honestly ridiculous. With the wait time, the orders should be without flaw. The smoothie was good if that’s worth anything. This evening I called to see what they would do to rectify the situation. Her excuse: “our cook isn’t really that attentive.” The young lady said the manager would call me in a week or so to issue a refund? A week or so? She didn’t even know my name so I made sure to give her that. I’ll be going in store to receive the refund. The manager can’t even tend to the rough customers? This location needs a major revamp, pep talk...
