So I came here with my buddy because he and I are always trying to check out new places to eat in Bloomington-Normal and I'm so happy I convinced him to eat here with me. My GOODNESS this is probably the best fried chicken I have had anywhere in the twin cities, hands down. The breading is crispy and each piece of chicken (tried the tenders) was perfectly seasoned. I was amazed at how high quality the chicken they use is, and how meaty even something like fried chicken tenders can be. Full of flavor, not greasy, perfectly breaded, and piping hot so do yourself a favor and wait a minute or a few before eating! They give the same treatment to their crinkle cut fries that enjoyed some of the seasoning that fell down from the tenders. Try the pizza too! It was surprisingly light and not too heavy (in a good way), doesn't leave you feeling sluggish and the quality of ingredients here is consistent with their other offerings. The crust is the highlight, simple and foldable if you like folding your slices to eat them! Will have to try their chicken pizza soon given the wonderful spices they use as well as their chicken.

They were extremely kind to me and my friend, and the food was so good I came back with my girlfriend today because I needed her to try this for herself. You can't miss out flavor like this, this place needs the praise they deserve and more people going in so they can have experiences like I've had on the two trips I've been here within the last 24 hours. I dont write reviews ever, so its saying a little when i actually write a review for a place. The vibe of the place is very relaxing and friendly, and not in a "all in your face" type of way. The customer service is phenominal, I usually accidentally strike up at least a small conversation with either who ever is behind the counter (usally the super nice girl) or the owner who, i dont ever say lightly, is saint-like. Wait time almost always weirdly flies by, but that just might be me and my easily amused attention span while on my phone. I had their chicken when they first opened, definitely my go-to whenever im in the mood for chicken. The lemon pepper seasoning and mild sauce is my usual whenever i have their chicken and/or fries. I also tried their cheese pizza on their second day selling it, the owner even said he was a lil nervous... Staff was slow and unprofessional. Was picking up a to go order and could see the amount of tickets they had up (3) and I saw each order that went out ahead of me. When I asked them how long mine would be they ignored my question as if they couldn't hear in spite of it just being the myself and the two working, when I asked again they said it was done and just needed to be packaged and bagged etc. This was a flatout lie. I watched the guy literally pull the hushpuppies out of oil minutes after saying it was done and kept the other half of my order under a heat lamp. When I asked if those were my hushpuppies the guy laughed as if I had just told him a funny joke. The joke is this restaurant and their ethos. Some people use hyperbole and give unwarranted reviews but someone willing to lie to customers isn't a person I want handling my food. Especially something miniscule like the food not being done yet.
