I looked at reviews for this place online before going. Sadly, many of the reviews didn't paint an accurate picture, so my experience was not as expected.

The biggest inaccuracy is the pricing. I assumed from previous reviews and the general appeal of the restaurant/bar that Pepe Delgados would have cheaper Mexican food. Oddly, there is a dinner and lunch pricing difference. Really? For a self-service, counter-ordered, hole-in-the-wall restaurant? Dinner prices per person were between $10-14 and sadly the portions were not at all impressive.

Which brings me to the food. To me, the food was slightly worse than average, and tasted similar to many 24 hour drive-thru Mexican joints. Honestly I could find the same quality and amount of food for probably $5-7 per person at a round-the-clock drive-thru. I got the chicken fajitas. It came on a small plate with two very small tortillas. No cheese or tomatoes and some odd "avocado sauce" which was green but I can't imagine was made with a real avocado because it was runny and had no taste. The sour cream was also runny and ran all over the plate. I couldn't believe the small portion size and lack of suitable toppings for my two small tortillas.

To summarize, the food tasted fine but portions were small and prices are higher than expected and vary throughout the day. I probably won't ever go back - not because it was bad, but because I can easily get the same food somewhere else for...

We've been coming to Pepe's for about a year now, and I normally have the mahi mahi tacos which I love, but this time was the best experience we've had there! I actually ran into Emilio the owner at Lowes one day and I expressed how much I loved his fish tacos! We chatted for a bit and I told him I was actually going on a deepsea fishing trip soon. He then told me that if I caught something I could bring the fish to his restaurant and he would prepare it for My family and Myself. On my fishing trip I caught a Cobia . Having only met Emilio once before I was a little hesitant to bring him my catch, but I went ahead and brought it to him. He was very excited to see the fish and ask how many would be people would be joining me. We set a date and time which was this evening. When we walked in he had our table prepared with a chevice appetizer one of my favorite dishes!! It was amazing! possibly the best I've ever had!! He then brought out the rest of the fish which was prepared bone in and cooked in the oven. He showed us how to dig into the fish with some corn tortillas and make some tacos like they do in his home town . The fish was delicious and the experience was amazing! To top everything off, I asked him how much I owed him and he told me not to worry about it! I then shoved $100 in his pocket and he took it out and shoved it back into my hand! We will forever be thankful to him...

I called about applying for a position here. Usually I wouldn't call to see if places are hiring, normally I go in person. But in this case, it was 20° out and I didn't want to waste my time or gas driving around in the cold to see if places are hiring only to be disappointed. Not only did I want to see if they were hiring, but I also wanted to make a reservation for my family. I didn't even get three words out before the owner started yelling at me on the phone, literally yelling, that you don't put an application in over the phone and that I was idiotic to do so. I will never eat there again. I will never recommend this place to anybody, I will never say one good thing about this owner or his food. No matter how good people think his texmex is, no matter if you disagree with me calling about a potential position, it is completely unprofessional and rude to YELL at someone over something as simple as asking a question. He ranted for about a minute and a half and then hung up on me before I could even ask if they were able to make reservations. This grown man threw a hissy fit and then hung up on me. I could not believe it. I've been eating there with my whole family since I can remember. We will...

Yuck! Probably the worst Mexican Restaurant I’ve ate at. You have to pay to park. I was wanting to try different enchiladas but their meals won’t let you get separate… you either have to get all cheese or all beef… all chicken…. STUPID!!!! Food not good. Beans are yuck. Rice is below average. You can’t order an al a carte enchilada. NO QUESO free or paid for. Guacamole should be called Limeamole since they lime it down so much… I had to throw some onions and cilantro from my terrible taco in there for it to be edible since it’s just lime juice and yesterdays avocados. If anyone says this place is good they’ve had some liquor. This is Taco Truck food that wouldn’t have a line. Raising Cane’s and their bland a$$ chicken strips and mediocre sides kept staring at me from across the street making me regret my choice of dinner. Something Chocolate from Red Rock saved the day.

It was great, staff is incredibly friendly, ambient temp was very comfortable, place was clean, music was at a perfect volume and the food came out swiftly and delicious. Before we made our order, a gentleman came out from the back, nicely dressed, he saw my son wandering around enjoying the layout, and as I asked my son to stop wandering around all over the restaurant he commented and assured us that it was totally ok for him to check the place out, he infact told my boy that the place was open to him to explore(as it was a slower part of the day and there was only three other patrons dining at the moment). All in all, good clean place, good food and great service.

Pepe Delegados is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants ... The food is delicious, always fresh and made to order. My husband gets the Rajitas in Salsa Chipotle with Chicken and I have been getting the Plato Vegetariano every single time for the past 8 years. I'm not a great fan of their beans, so i usually substitute it with rice. The staff and owner are super friendly and the restaurant is very accommodating if you want to make custom orders or have special dietary restrictions. We also get a side of fried jalapenos. We love everything about Pepe's, delicious food, great ambience and amazing service.
