The atmosphere and vibes are excellent. All the staff are very friendly, and it seems like it's very busy most of the time. On father's day I ordered ahead to get an omelet, The Frenchie, for me and my partner. I selected hash rounds for one of the options, a $2 upcharge. I received the regular potatoes in one, but the other did not have anything (the normally free side or the $2 upcharge extra I paid for). I was a little annoyed so I called and spoke with the manager, who sounded rushed, he offered to have me return to pickup the hash rounds, and I said I'd rather not come all the way back so he offered to refund the $2. Near as I can tell from my charge on my card, it never changed.

I didn't really feel like following up and calling for $2 at that point, but the annoyance of the situation led me to write this review to hopefully signal to them to improve takeout service. Personally I find it exceptionally irritating when I don't get the extras I pay for in takeout orders.

Inconsistent Service and Seating Policies Made for a Frustrating Visit I rarely leave reviews, but the customer service and seating policy at this establishment were so poor that I had to speak up. Inconsistent Seating Policy: We called ahead to inquire about a table, but the staff never offered us the option to make a reservation, despite the restaurant taking them. When we arrived, the only options given for a party of two were undesirable high-tops or the bar. Unnecessary Wait: While we waited 20 minutes for a standard table, two traditional two-person tables and one high-top sat completely empty, marked 'Reserved.' This wasted time, especially when a walk-in party of four was immediately seated at a prime table right as we finished our painful wait. It felt like our business was not valued. Adding to the frustration, the parking was abysmal, forcing us to walk two full blocks. Overall, the management of seating and reservations here is deeply flawed and made for a truly frustrating...

I would give Press & Plow 6 stars if I could. Came in this evening for the first time and had an excellent experience. The restaurant is clean and organized which I appreciate. The service was great. The bartender was attentive and very friendly. Also, she can make some tasty cocktails. I had the Clear as Day cocktail and my friend had the Old Fashioned. Mine was refreshing and not too strong. Highly recommend! For the entree, we had the Steam Buns with crispy pork belly and sautéed mushrooms, and the Fried Quail on a biscuit with gravy. The Steam Buns held together nicely, the pork belly was crispy and tender, and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The Fried Quail was great too.
